Wonders : Victorious
Is it me or The Victorious isn't worth ♥♥♥♥ (exept for victory point at end gameof course)?
his effects :
-Really tanky (8k hp 10armor)
+20% gold production surrounding building (roughly same area thant a bank)

Now my problems :
this structure is big, 4x4 if i remember right, which mean that it take same area as a double wall on 4 blocks( and you guessed it, it translate to 16k hp if it was walls (WITHOUT ARMOR, i didn't seen direct effect but it can be a good bonus),but for me it still don't stand a chance vs wall, exept if it can close a whole chokepoint, if surrouding wall fall, Z won't give a ♥♥♥♥ about your damn bunker.
second problem, the + 20% gold, that seemed really good, but when i looked at it, it mean a +4 gold on a stone house, really not that much.
And we come to the biggest flaw, the upkeep, that ♥♥♥♥ require 120gold in upkeep,it mean that you need to have 30 stone house nearby, simply to compensate for that upkeep and let's be honest, usually it's not doable if you use it as a wall, and if you don't, you paid 3 ribs and a kidney to just have that damn gold plated ♥♥♥♥ just to stand here for nothing.

Bilan for me, Usefull for the 2000 victory point, but the last wonders to do.

For sure we will get more useless buildings in the next patch....
Probably a swimming pool,gives the hundreds of surviving mayors something to do....Zzz boring

The last released unit fires rocketz!? There could be so many cool updates, and always iam exited like :" wow six new building, for sure one brings a cool new unit!" or :"yeah The Inn! Mercenaries!" meh same unit ♥♥♥♥ every x dayz.

And the worst: I dont have even played since : "The Inn", just from the description its so bad and from some threads, I read, that I defense myself to play or like this ♥♥♥♥ anymore!

you took it somewhat wrong, i find that new update cool, somes wonders are freakin life saving, i were just saying that it's not balanced, i don't think the game lack in term of units, the current one already cover what you could need fro them.Sure, the more the better,but i don't think it's a flaw.

This building is almost immune to all kinds of normal infected. I've tanked a full wave on it with low firepower behind it and it held. Yeah, can get the same effect from two double walls for much lower price but those don't give victory points.

Also it counts as a target, so zombies will never slip by it and attack something else.

I really love this game, but i'm really not a fan of the wonders. I think they go on a bad direction with them. They are not hard enought to build...

I think this game have to stay simple in numbers of Units and Buildings, but HYPER balanced, for give more possibility and way of playing.
New monster units can be really great. Maybe one more player unit, but no OP.

but FIRST, dev, this game have so much possibility ! Go for some new mods ! Tower defensing, Co-op, ect. Campaign is not so important for me. Different way of playing IS important !

I know this is like 2 years old discussion pool, but I found my way here and others might too, so just to clarify:

The 20% from 40 gold is 8 gold, not 4 gold. So you don't need 30 houses in the radius, but just 15 to pay for the gold upkeep... ironically you didn't include the -10 oil cost, which bumps it up to 33 stone houses just to pay for itself each tick.

So obviously you want to put this thing only next to one of your large cities with bank and market (just like Inn) which should be around 150 houses affected by the wonder, it pays for itself rather quickly as well as provide the best wall for narrow chokepoint you could ask for and focus more of your DPS on weaker parts of your defense. It's situationally real useful on maps where for example all your west side swarms have to go through small chokepoint, you can use this to hold it off without sacrificing too much space.

What makes it actually impractical is how late in the game you can afford it. Being an economy booster for late-game budgets, at which point you don't focus on economy anymore, but rather capitalize on it by building tons of units before final wave. Also it offers gold for oil, which would be more ideally spend on units rather than this overglorified wall. The effect needs a change and the gold bonus should go to the silent beholder wonder instead as a buff.

as you said, it's a 2 years discussion pool, and the wonders were updated in the meantime, which renders what i said inacurrate on several points. there weren't any oil upkeep before

Victorious went live with an oil upkeep.
