Pro Tip: Backup your save game

This takes less than a minute and will save you hours.....

Once you are in a good spot and feel good with your base quit and save. This will take you to the main menu. Alt+Tab out of the game. Go to my docs / my games / they are billions / save.

Backup that folder.

Alt+Tab back into the game, and click continue.

If you make a stupid mistake or the zombies make a cheap move, save and exit to the main menu and move the files back and overwrite your mistake.

+1 it's not a "pro tip" it's cheating, you won't see any good player do it.

It's actually a good tip if you want to save a map you like while we still don't have some kind of seeding system

Save Scumming has been around ever since ironman games started allowing save and exit...

I don't have this game, but games with Ironman mode generally save the game from time to time to prevent disaster in case of a crash. Just create a batch file that backs up your savegame every 3 minutes or so while you are playing the game. That way, you can go back to any savegame you want.

Jackaholed you cant use the word "pro". People are sensitive on these forums :)

On the subject: pro tips are commonly used as "good to know if you are starting out that i found out while playing". It's not meant as "tips from a elite/hardcore player" most of the time I see it online.

People telling others that they cannot play the game the way they want are horrible people. So I can't spare the time to "prescribed level of joy" the game. Screw you. I don't care what you think. I paid for the game, I'll play it how I like.

I didn't buy the game and sign up for a cult. I bought a game, not a membership. The real zombies are these cult followers that can't stand that other people enjoy the game in a way not prescribed by their predjudice.

Well, technically, it is a membership. When you buy a game, you are actually buying a License to play that game. This License can be revoked if you break the rules that you agreed to when you bought and played the game for the first time.

Also, you want to cheat/cheese while you play the game? Okay, sure go ahead. However call it for what it is; cheating. Don't pull the whole "I'm playing how I want since I bought the game!" when you are cheating. You want to cheat, I got no problem with that; just don't cheat for the online components and don't say how "good" you are at the game.

We had a guy a few months back that went on and on how great he was and "pro". Turns out he was constantly Save Scumming, we only found him out due to his Screenshots not matching up. Just like another guy was creating Hack Mods for the game and dispersing them to people, hence why the Devs had to do a crack down and add "protection" to the game.

Also, you guys do realize that Survival Mode is only ~25% of the game right? The Campaign mode is supposed to be the primary mode people play on ... and it will have a Save/Reload feature.
