As we have improved the game performance perhaps before the game was a bit slower than the intended speed, and now with the patch you play it at the correct speed.
One day in the game is exactly 84s in real time.
BUT, if the physics simulation (the system that control the entities collisions) has too much work like when a big swarm attack the colony or in very low spec computers, then the game speed can be lower to give enough time to the simulation. So a game day could last more than 84s. In that case everything in the game would move slower.
If a day time lasts less than 84s then the game is running too fast so in this case please tell us because something is not working well.
Of course in our development version we can speed up the game. Perhaps later we add a control to allow it to the users. We have not done it before because that feature would not work in low spec computers because of the limit imposed by the physics simulation.
