Hi! The preorder game was indeed cheaper than the one on Steam. What do you mean?
His game does not start properly and now he thinks he has to activate it by getting a key from humble even though he bought it on steam. Took me 3 pages in his post to understand that ;)

That's probably because you can add to your cart and buy it "as a gift" to someone else.
I have the same thing but when I click "add to cart" and "proceed to checkout" I can't select the "buy for myself" option and instead can only select the "purchase as a gift" option. So pretty sure everything is fine for you and me.
