Ground Zero Texas just wouldn't be fun without the gun. Mouse shooting :(
I'll never forget first playing it and seeing Corey Haim and going "whoa" haha.
Psychic Detective would be good too; it had probably the most sophisticated evolution of the Night Trap style gameplay of any FMV game that I can think of. It's owned by EA though, so I wouldn't bet on a rerelease.
Without having the technical knowhow myself, but I would imagine that especially porting Sega CD FMV games might be a lot easier now that there's already a working framework with Night Trap...
As for PC, Hardline was also one of those FMV games that burnt into my mind. It wasn't good, but it was more playable than some other FMV titles.
And my god, Hardline. That was hot garbage but as I'm an FMV addict, I want it anyway.
Tomcat Alley wow, I remember a friend of mine having that and I was awful at it. I remember he seemed to line up the locks and hit everything, every time I did it as soon as I pressed the button I lost the lock, had to watch the missle miss.
Mad Dog McCree was a game I spent way to much on at the bowling alley. It cost a pound each time. I did get to Mad Dog once and I am sure I out drew him. I remember reading something about him wearing a plate to stop bullets so perhaps I did.
As for other FMV games there are a few new ones like Contradiction: Spot the Liar and The Madness of Doctor Dekker. Both are excellent fun.
Finally it's not really FMV but it does feature real actors and is so close to it. Titanic Adventure out of Time. You can download a version for free.
Sony has the rights to Ground Zero Texas and Sewer Shark. I remain hopeful but can't see them being nice about releasing the footage.
I own that game but haven't given it much time yet... it's pretty impressive what I have played of it. Some of the puzzles really piss me off haha.
