Resting not removing exhaustion

My main is not recovering exhaustion when I rest. Am I doing something wrong? Like, should I not assign a task? Also, how do you time when you rest?

It seems no matter when I rest, I always wake up at night. If I rest in the morning, then I wake up in day still. If I rest in the evening i hunt for 4-5 hours then sleep in day.

Having the nightmares puts a location on your map to the southeast next to a river called Netttle's Crossing. The most spoiler free version I can give you is go there and all will be made clear.

Maybe read the text instead of ignoring it?
This game will punish you for ignoring certain things, but if you take care of them in a timely manner you won't have a problem with it.
