Can someone confirm theres a Large Bastard Sword?

Besides Amiri, is there actually other large bastard swords in the game? i just became baron and havent found one.

Keep in mind that the devs didn't invent Amiri - she's been a Pathfinder Iconic for over a decade now. Check the date stamp on the blog post with her backstory if you need proof.[paizo.com] Her having an oversized bastard sword's been a part of the character since Pathfinder was just a bunch of 3rd party adventures for DnD 3.5.

There are also regular Bastard Swords in the shops.

The Armang SUPER BASTARD SWORD is a +5 beast, so it's nothing to scoff at.

Unfortunately, the devs are stuck with this bad choice because it's part of what the Paizo licensors what (it's also bad mechanically in the TRPG and Paizo doesn't care), so they can't just swap it out for a unique greatsword mechanically.

With that in, my thought would be to just give Amiri a special ability or extra magic item (like Linzi's ring) that lets her cross-apply greatsword and bastard sword specializations, so that we players can just swap her to a greatsword ASAP and not have to deal with it.

this the first thing i did with amari is give her a great axe and call it a day, that -2 to hit cripples her in the early game, and later on there are just better weapons. The oversized weapons would ONLY be good if they added in the titan mauler archtype which specializes in oversized weapons, and can even dual wield them. Amari practically screams titan mauler it's very odd they didn't give her that archtype and add it to the game.

No, I found +4 with everything and a +5 with nothing else needed Bastard Sword - Keep her on it, you will be rewarded :)

This thing kicks butt and as far as i can see has no downside. Unfortunately, my Amari decided to mope instead of follow me at the house at the edge of time. So I didn't get to use it for the end game but, at that point you have so many +5 super weapon options it's not a big deal.

Giant Bastard-Sword of Amiri count as Greatsword (Two-Handed Sword) inside of the game, soooo you know what profiency you should pick for her.

It would be easy to get oversized bastard swords if crafting were a thing.

There is ONE other you get from the end of chapter 3 by looting the boss you kill. It's entirely possible it's cursed, however, and will make the user become uncontrable.
