Halfling Archeologist / Dragon Disciple
Amazed at all the fun I am having with my little dragon bard! What is the strangest combo you currently play?

I am curious as to his performance in combat and what difficulty you play on.
One of the halfbreed races (Orc, Elf, Tiefling or Aasimar).

Make a Sorcerer, or Eldritch Scion and pick a non-draconic magical bloodline. For Tieflings, don't pick Abyssal or Infernal. For Aasimar, don't pick Celestial.

Become a Dragon Disciple. It will ask you to pick a draconic bloodline when you take the class, if you didn't already do so as a Sorcerer / Eldritch Scion.

Have fun trying to explain your family tree!

EDIT: Nevermind, it seems they patched out being able to stack magical bloodlines.

I play on challenging mode. Overall, he seems to be doing well. I finally got evasion for archaeologist at 6th level. His rogue talents come in handy and he does really well avoiding monsters attacking the camp, avoiding on road and disarming traps. If for some reason a trap goes off or a nasty spell, he usually can dodge out of its way. Mostly he stays back with the bow, using luck to boost attacks in difficult combat. However, sometimes you get ambushed from behind, so I wanted him to be able to handle business. The bard spells are nice for some light healing when needed, or the occasional support spell.

My favorite thing to do is give him lots of invisibility spells. He found an amulet which boosts sneak attack but also gives +4 to rogue skills, with the double crossing curse if someone moves next to him he wants to attack them melee wise. However, with bow its simply a non-issue. I cast invisible then do 2d6 more with the bow, with a near guarantee hit. Its fun!

He is my second character, after playing the first time around and getting owned by the troll problem and always seeming to get a critical to the face as a front line fighter. Much easier to have a character that stays out of melee combat for the most part, unless he needs to deliver a quick heal.
That amulett also says it gives you those +2d6 sneak dice for your melee attacks, not your bow.
You're saying it actually does work with a bow?
Yep, works for me after I cast the invisibility spell. Not sure why it does but I do it.
