Simply because it can buff the entire party with song, has rogue skills and isnt that bad at fighting.
Unless you really want to smash people faces in with a big pieces of metal.
Then go babarian.
Otherwise bard is simply more versitial and there for more useful.
Personally, my CG character is a sword saint (magus) with 3 levels in rogue. Insane AC+ sneak attack+ huge crits+spells
Fire Primary / Healing Secondary.
Blow up everything. Heal up afterwards. =D
just cast communal fire resistance on your group beforehand ;)
