I don't remember the second bonus, but the first one Universalists get is the ability to make a ranged attack with a melee weapon via the Jedi Light Saber Throw.
Basically, you use magic to send your weapon out, hit the target, and make it return to your hand!
it doesn't tell you like most things in this game do not really tell you what they do.
Universalist wizards are those that don't specialize in a school. They can cast spells from all schools, but they don't get bonus spells per day or any other benefits from specializing.
Lvl 0: arcane mark, prestidigitation
Lvl 1: dead man's ink
Lvl 4: halt plants
Lvl 5: permanency
Lvl 7: limited wish
Lvl 9: wish
As you can see, not much of a school at all.
Ironically this is less universal as any other school
I think they dumped all their learning plans into figuring out how to not ♥♥♥♥ up the Wish spells...
