The only thought crossing my mind is that you are not resting long enough. Or can it be you did not bring rations?
Edit: on second thought, that is very RP. not very informative, but indeed if you wanted to heal your knife wound naturally, i guess it would take more than one night, wouldnt it? geez, i'm an idiot
Buying potions or scrolls of cure light wounds and chugging them between fights is a way better move than resting for health.
In fact using potions is generally a better idea for healing overall.
thats a valid tactic later in game mb, but during act 1 you dont have such luxury. Also constantly traveling to post is kinda draining on time and only lead to more rests to remove exhaust.
Magical healing is kind of a necessity in this game.
Goodluck clearing the game without either a druid or a cleric....
Basically like saying in an mmo ok boys let's go do a raid but we just pick 1 tank and dps.
