Although good magical Weapons comes mid-late game.
The artisan with all the storys craftet a +3 ans a +5 fauchard (last gives you a very nice boost to combat-maneuvers!) and there is a +4 fauchard in the first Pitax Location at chapter 6.
There is a very good bastad-sword at the end of chapter 5, but beware, you will need a very high will-save or the char can get go berserk and attack your party-members!
There some nice two-handes axes ans clubs too!
As far as i gos Amiri - i would not take a weapon-focus feat, because there are some nice different weapon-types and Amiri don´t get that much feats.
If you go fauchard, i would consider 4 or 6 level of a fighter for the extra fetas and mayby weapon-training (ans duelling gloves). I would take combat-reflexes and bullrush or sunder feats.
As for a weapon. I like the Glaive. There is a magical one early at the Stag Fort. You can get a nice +2 Flaming one early after you found your Kingdom and a super nice one in the Pitax chapter.
I have not progressed pass Pitax but Reach + available options for upgrade through game levels has me sold on the Glaive.
Awesome, thanks, Baahb3! I figured going warrior 2hnder would increase dmg + to hit + lots of extra feats + still get rage benefits from her existing levels. She just seems lacking as pure Barb
Ivoretti's Great Axe is just straight +5 but lets you cast a 'fan of blades' spell 3 times daily, doing something stupid like 20D6 Damage - a real room clearer.
When building a critfisher, the bastardsword is better suited for it. A combined crit team (built on dual wield, teamwork feats and improved crit, and in my case sneak attack) is great, but not everyone's cup of tea, so if you have no partners for her, ignore that.
Bastard sword is another solid choice for late game. May have been the largest number of fancy +5s i saw in my game. If risk is your thing, one of the best weapons that I know of is a Basrard sword. though you would be crazy to use it.
Those are about the only ones I would recomend. There are other amazing weapons to be sure, but building a character for a weapon you only get in the last hours of the game is not worth talking about imo.
Elven curved blade is better them both if you're elf (so will not waste a feat to use it), plus there's insane end-game curved blade (with VERY strong & somewhat secret mini-boss owner hehe).
For mid game there is an amazing +3 18-20/x3 +1d6 acid Fauchard “Serpent Prince” you get from the artisan Shaynih'a that is perfect for crit builds.
For endgame there is Mastery (Fauchard +5. Continuous freedom of movement, immunity to trip and bullrush, +5 to CMB, deals damage like a regular hit on successful combat maneuver. 53450g.) from the same artisan. Trust me, you’ll really want that non-dispellable Freedom of Movement for the final part, and it’s also ideal for Bull rush/Trip builds (by end game you’ll have enough feats to combine them with Crit). Combine with Onslaught armor and watch those pesky fey explode.
You may have a look at the list of uniques and decide for yourself:

Holy sonic one i looked at was 6m.
Anyway I am rockin the one they all say cant be used. But I am playing a Paladin so I only fail my save vs the weapon on a one.
I had heaed all about this wild hunt fools and thought cant wait to waste those guys like I am everything else with this artifact bastard Im swingin. But umm nope, they are more cheesy than my paladin. Its not your main that is the issue, its everyone else in your party.
If you are doing the 2 hand fighter, work in both iron wills, and maybe go dwarf. Oh ya and Blind fight around lvl 14, and if you dont dump Int for the combat expertise stuff, you mighty have the perception skills to get improved blind fight. And like the other fella said, get you some aoe trip or knockdowns whatever, think cc when your mage is useless.
Dont blow off the team work feats, some real nice synergies for a two hander main. back to back, seize the moment, outflank. Turn your front line into a buzzsaw. And nok nok is your best buddy, keep him close to you and get him some of those team work feats and boost his saves. A main 2 hander on one side of valerie and nok nok on the other side will tear up most anything. Just be able to hit it, and have the saves late.
There is no guarantee you will ever get any artisans weapons anyway.
