Ability Damage/Neg levels not healing

I just got Tristian back, and I've found that no matter how much I sleep, on the road or in my castle ability damage just isn't changing at all. I have one character at Str 4 and Linzi's at Str 1--can't even wear her armor--and it's just not recovering.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug?

As far as i know ability damage heal 1 point per rest, negative level got tested on the first rest and either become permanent or are removed, there is also ability drain wich is only removable with restoration.

So if something doesn't heal on rest try restoration for permanent effect or less restoration to speed the healing process (for ability damage from poison for exemple)

You have ability drain, not damage, and need magic to cure it, which means restoration (not the lesser version).

yea permanent ability drain doesnt recover on rest, you have to use restoration ( cures one permanent stat ) or greater restoration ( cures all stats )
