Can't Choose Groetus?

Has anybody else noticed that as of more recent patches, you can't create a worshiper of Groetus anymore?

When I try to pick my deity for Inquisitors and Clerics, it shows Groetus marked out in red for some reason.

I know this was not always the case, because I was watching videos of the beta, and I preordered this game like a week before it came out. So I've been playing it since day one, and I'm fairly sure Groetus was an option before.


And before you mention it, NO, it has nothing to do with alignment restriction, because you don't pick our alignment until the last section of character creation.

Is it a bug? I thought it was intentional due to having a cleric of grotus in party already. Same for not being able to take Lamashtu as a patron god.

As I said, it was not always like this. I was able to make a Cleric of Urgathoa, despite Jaethal being her Inquisitor. So having somebody already in the party isn't the problem.

Seems to be a bug. Groetus is selectable on any cleric subclass, just not the base non subclassed version. Not selectable on any inquisitor.

This thread is a little old - but I am still having the same issue. I can not select Groetus for any class that allows diety selection.

Does anyone have a way around this? I'd really like to make a Priest of Madness, and thats the nonevil god with this domain.

Apparently there's a requirements that make it so you need the Groetus tag to select Groetus. Don,t know if it's a bug or if it will get fixed. Probably some Mod would allow you to change your god, but there doesn"t seem to be a way of selecting him now.

Most hilarious bug. Seriously. The only character who would want to be restricted to worshipping groetus is the character who already has the deity choice at level 1. Needless tags are needless.
