Gods, Bloodlines and Sub-Races
Alright, everybody, I keep seeing people asking questions about the topics mentioned in the title up above. And even though Spidey1958 has created videos showcasing these in greater detail, I figured I'd make a post that compiled a basic list, so that interested players don't have to scour the internet looking for answers.

-----------------------------------------

Deities: In the game's current beta, only the religious classes have the option to pick a deity, which is why Atheism is not currently available. However, the devs have stated that at full release, every character will have the option to pick a deity, regardless of class. Some deities have also been excluded, due to the fact that worshiping them would directly conflict with certain events of the story. The list of deities that you are allowed to worship, however, are as follows

Abadar
Asmodeus
Calistria
Cayden Cailean
Desna
Erastil
Gorum
Gozreh
Groetus
Gyronna
Iomedae
Irori
Nethys
Norgorber
Pharasma
Rovagug
Sarenrae
Shelyn
Torag
Urgathoa
Zon-Kuthon

------------------------------------------

Bloodlines: Available for Sorcerers and Magus who follow the Eldritch Scion archetype.

Abyssal (Demonic)
Arcane
Celestial
Draconic (all colors and metals)
Elemental (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water)
Infernal (Devilish)
Fey
Serpentine
Undead

---------------------------------------

Sub-Races: At this point in time, the only playable race that has variations are the Aasimar, and even then, the differences are mostly just attribute or skill bonuses. Your appearance doesn't seem to change much, if at all, depending on what heritage you pick. The choices of which are as follows

Angelkin (Angel-Blooded)
Emberkin (Peri-Blooded)
Idyllkin (Agathion-Blooded)
Lawbringer (Archon-Blooded)
Musetouched (Azata-Blooded)
Plumekith (Garuda-Blooded)

----------------------------------------------

So now that you know what's available, you can start planning your characters accordingly!

Worshipping Gyronna feels like it'll be awkward if they follow the books though, since... Wasn't there a quest in Book 2 about taking down a Gyronna cult?

I've noticed you keep linking a random video in all of your recent posts. Any particular reason?

I don't know about a Gyronna cult, but there is a Lamashtu cult associated with part of the main story. Which is why you can't worship her, since the game assumes your character doesn't know much about her.

Unfortunate, because I would have actually been interested in playing one of her worshipers.

We changed stuff a bit. They are Lamashtu worshippers now.

So the same lv like rovagug cultist, no one likes them, no one misses them and if you do not care about them they will inflict horrible dmg to the contries where they spread.

you are going to build a kingdom, it is not typical for a demon whordshipper (Lamashtu was a demon before raises as god)to build anything usefull for others.

Gyronna is a demon, though, and one who's worship is either illegal or frowned upon in most parts of the world.

She's the Goddess of Hatred, Extortion and Spite.

Also, who said I have to care about building anything useful to the rest of the world? This game allows you to explore ALL alignment options, including Neutral / Chaotic Evil. If I want to build a kingdom that's inhabited by monsters (or people who idolize monsters), I would have enjoyed the option to do so.

It's not a change that I'm terribly upset about, but I am a little disappointed. Guess I have to wait a little longer for the game that lets me have my Kobold sex slave .

Thank you for this post! I did look at most of Spidey1958 vids but a small summary is always helpful. I also came across the deity list which Thainen was so kind to post some time ago( as a reaction on another post ).

I think i will be making either a Aasimar sorcerer with the undead bloodline, or an Aasimar cleric with the undead domain, since thats the closest we can get to a Lich ( right ? )

I was thinking about a magus because of the dual wield with 1h and spells but since the deity i will choose, Urgathoa, has Scythe as preferred weapon ( which is mine aswell ) i dont think thats viable because its a 2h weapon.
