I hated those in DOS
Trash items may actually be useful. I'm seeing beta testers sell them and racking up anywhere from 50k to 100k gold by the end of chapter 3.
Wait... why isn't bag of holding or Handy Haversack included in the game? Isn't the game using the core rule book? Which these magical items are listed?
Magic items, potions, spells are all avaialable allmost everywhere.
High level casters can bring back people from the dead, create planes of existance and rule them, duplicate any living being, summon the most powerfull demons and/or angels, travel in a blink to any place in the world, transform themselves in the most powerfull creatures, and litteraly can bring down the skies on their ennemies.
But they can't carry that extra chainmail ?
How does that make sense ?
Magic being able to do whatever is all nice and good, but if it's not limited or restricted in some capacity then it's useless. And I mean literally useless.
Even without portable holes/bags of holding/handy haversacks, that are a classic in the settings, there are hundreds of ways it could/should be made irrelevant to bother with such trivial matters.
Does it makes the game better or makes it more fun ?
I don't think managing inventory is fun.
I'm dissapointed there is no such things as extradimensional holding spaces, as they are a classic in those games settings, and just lets you forget about tedious inventory management.
Just because they are classics doesn't mean they are everywhere or would be fun to add in a video-game.
Even in the Tabletop Version of games like Pathfinder you can go entire games without even getting additional carrying capacity and despite being able to carry a lot have a limit also on what and how much you can carry.
It costs 1000 gold to craft.
In any town of 2001+ people, you have 75% to find one for sale at 2000 gold, and can retry the roll every week.
So, in a homebrew game, yes, it can be difficult to find, but otherwise it should be very comon.
You can say you don't like it, you can say "not in my game", but you can't say it's not readily availiable in any official setting.
I didn't say you can't in the official setting I said in games like it.
And the fact it's available doesn't mean you can get it when you want or even do find it to begin with as you yourself have just made clear.
And I did also say in case you missed it 'Just because they are classics doesn't mean they are everywhere or would be fun to add in a video-game.'
Which you yourself have just admitted.
So yeah, please. Keep it away from the game.
Plus, it is from my understanding that even bags of holding have a limit to them depending on the bag and you are at risk of ruining the bag of holding by stuffing sharp objects into it, of course there would be ways to avoid it but yeah, bag of holding would at best just allow a bit more weight to be carried not infinitely more.
I said except in a homebrew game, it should be easy to get. That was a nice way of saying "even if you don't like it, it should be in the game, as it should always be quicky available in any pathfinder setting"
Bag of holdings have a weight and space limit yes.
Handy haversack is 12 cubic feets and 120 pounds limit. plus you can get anything out of it in a move action, and avoid attacks of opportunity.
One of the first item to buy as a spellcaster.
