Lingering Performance overpowered
Since lingering performance in this game is not getting canceled by starting a new performance (as it should be according to the PnP rules) you can actually stack different bardic performance bonuses.

In particular when your bard can activate the performance as a swift action this can be extremely powerful, just keep rotating through 3 different performances to get all their bonuses.

Also, using Ivoretties armor, though it would require medium armor training, would make it a free action breaking things even more.

Not saying that this HAS to be adressed, but it certainly good to know for all you min/maxers out there.

Dunno how this is op tho. You still need to micro manage so I guess it's a reward for your efforts? :p

Well it is not that complicated to micro manage, just click the next button whenever a new performance triggers.

So it is probably worth it in any encounter that requires some manual input anyways.

They are all Competence so don't realy stack, although yeah you can have some extra attack rating out of this.

For some people, micro management isn't hard. Some of us are good at games with a lot of micro like RTSs.

Wait, who’s armor? Any link to a description of that armor?

If that's the case that's a bug : it contradict the in game description of the feat but if iirc, you had a latency that prevented stacking the different buff from linzi.

@Shadenuat
I am talking about different types of performances, one gives + att and + dmg, one gives +AV + saves one gives temp hp, you can basically get all of these effects going simultaneously.
Of course, the performances do not stack with themselves, that would be completely bonkers.

@grasida: King of Pitax, you will meet him eventually as part of the main quest, the armor reduces the time needed to activate a bardic performance.

wow, i havent even tried to switch songs, since description says that it should end immidiatly. I remember some D&D games had feat that allowed multiple songs with lingering.

Probably still not gonna abuse that. The biggest thing is not stacking positive songs, but using both party and doom songs.

Honestly any logical sense tells you that high enough bard SHOULD be able to use at least one party / one enemy song at the same time or with lingering, otherwise there is no sense in his amount of songs.

I mean what's the point of this feat otherwise anyways? You can have your song linger after the battle is over? Of course you should use it to prolong your daily uses (just one use every three rounds), or to mix different songs.
Grifta Oct 30, 2018 @ 12:03pm
I mean you're talking about a feat + Bard 13.

Just so we're clear, this is the level when Wizards can Reverse Gravity, Mass Invisibility, Finger of Death, etc. And Clerics can Heal (and have been for 2 levels), Regenerate, Resurrect, Destruction, etc.

It takes bards 3 combat rounds to get all of the buffs going, and they're just some +hit/+dmg, temp hitpoints, and maybe shaken on enemies. There are FAR more powerful buffs and abilities at the level we're talking about here.
Entropie Oct 30, 2018 @ 12:16pm
Or you are smart and get the stuff going before combat starts ^^

There is a good reason why this is impossible in PnP, the bardic performance buffs are by far the most powerful party buffs in the game. On level 13 inspire courage gives your whole parts +3 to attack +3 to damage rolls and +3 to saves against fear, I would like to see the far more powerful buff you are talking about because I would love to get my hands on that. (Especially a buff that the bard can not yet cast on that level themselves)
Grifta Oct 30, 2018 @ 1:35pm
I would be hard pressed to find one that a bard couldn't already cast, because they specifically have all the buff spells, but off the top of my head:

At Paladin 11; Aura of Justice. +Cha to attack, +Level to dmg, ignore DR
At Wizard 7; Enlarge Person, Mass + 3x Heroism. +2attack, +a bunch to damage, +2 to all saves (not just fear), Reach. with 7 mins on the Enlarge, and 70 on the Heroism. (Could do Wizard 9 for Extended Enlarge, Mass)

I'm not getting into a pissing contest about which is the best buff, they're all good. Just stating the mathematical fact that there are equally potent or better buffs at that level and below. And, Bard Song is, what, maybe 30 rounds (3 minutes) at that point? It's a good feat combination, but by no means OP
