Sorcerer lv6 spells - recommendations?
Unlike other spell levels, level 6 has some really interesting choices, but few slots available. By lv20 I'm going to have spell focus in Evocation, Enchantment and Conjuration. Among the more interesting things I was interested would be:

Chains of Lights
Great Dispel
Hellfire Ray ( have enough hit for it)
Sirocco (gets a lot of love, but personally the aoe obstructs the field for too long after the battle)
Chain Lightning
Disintegrate
Great Heroism
True Seeing (freebie from bloodline)

If I remember correctly, I could pick 4-5 at lv20, and I'm having a hard time planning my character. What would you recommend?

Sirocco + Hellfire Ray/Disintegrate

If you take Disintegrate also take Spell Specialization in it, well if its not broken that is

How are DC checks for Disintegrate later in game? It's only lv6, so won't it fail a lot?

You're sorcerer, you should have taken Metamagic: Heighten already and can use it relatively for "free".

how heighten spell could give you 'free' cast?

Hellfire ray is best DPS spell in game againts non fire resistant enemies. Sirocco is great too, stinking cloud still amazing all the game though.

I took disintegrate over hellfire ray with Octavia but only because she already had greater spell focus in transmutation. The latter is excellent.

I always want more chain lightnings, they are one of the few spells where you don't have to worry about friendly fire.

Chains of Light is also good as it targets reflex saves.

And you empower or maximise disintegrates rather than heightening them.

anything that requires a hit roll from a low BAB class isnt all that great.

Most spells that require an attack roll are also touch attacks which are much easier to hit with.

Ranged touch spells are fine on anything without unearthly grace (which admittedly they are fairly free with).

I've played around with Sirocco. On paper it's awesome, especially that you can cast more than one on the same spot. Thing is, I can't find a good time to actually use it. Choke points? You're going to wait a long time for the spell to stop before you can move forward. Trash mobs? They'll die without it, and your party can accidently enter the spell's area. Single boss? Yeah, keeping a boss on the edge with a tank means other melee will not be flanking. Not to mention if an enemy dies inside it, one that you know has good loot, sigh.

The best AE is chain lightning, it has a large area and it is a friend-or-foe spell. It can also be maximised with the rod.
Greater dispel can get rid of the spells on certain opponents, like fey casters, who like their displacement and other stuff, and it kills more than just one spell.
Disintegrate is debatable, but if you specialised in that kind of magic (I have greater spell focus and +2 on transmutations from class), it is maybe worth it.
Hellfire ray is kinda OK, but it is single target. I see no reason not to take chain lightning over it, which wastes everyone.

Chains of light is one of those spells I'll never pick. Scirocco is also not worth it in my eyes. Great heroism is not bad, but the buff type is covered by your bard, if you have one, and it is a single target spell (no-go for me, since I have Linzi).

Feel free using chain lightnings and stuff instead of Sirocco against +40 reflex endgame enemy packs.

Basically, Sirocco & Greater Shout are 2 best spells for endgame, period. Prismatic Spray and Horrid Wilting come second I guess.
