Best Draconic Bloodline For Eldritch Scion Magus?
I'm curious what the hive mind thinks about which element is best to gain the elemental damage boost from an Eldritch Scion's dragon bloodline? As far as I see it:

Fire: most total number of blast spells that use large dice pools, but no touch spells
Electric: boosts shocking grasp, but only lightning bolt (meh) and chain lightning (woot) beyond that
Cold: boost frigid touch, plus ice storm and cone of cold for strong blasting options.

Cold seems like the best balance between boosting your touch attacks and blasting options, but I'm still on the fence. Any thoughts?

Also, I believe that sneak attack is converted into elemental damage when delivered via a touch spell. Can anyone confirm if the +1 per damage dice is added for those elemental sneak attack dice as well?

Right but you're going to use your lvl 3-6 slots for something...why not for kicking out an AoE spell in the first round? I guess you could use Metamagic to bump Shocking Grasp to lvl 2-3 with Empowered and Maximized version, but that still leaves levels 4-6.

Acid. It's one of the rarest forms to resist. Cold gets resisted (immune) by so many types of undead i'm allergic to cold now :P

But still, the spell choices on acid isn't really great (unless Elemental sorc bloodline) so probably cold anyway, and get a couple backup spells for immune stuff.

Vampiric Touch is a nice spell, but not affected by any Draconic Bloodlines. I'd probably just use the higher spell slots for buff spells, or combine Maximize and Empower on shocking grasp for some real oomph (45 damage).

I can confirm that the +1 dmg per die only affects spells and only spells. Therefore, it doesn't boost precision damage (Sneak attack). This also means that the breath weapon you get later on doesn't gain the +1 die effect.

I don't know about the game because I haven't got it yet, but if PnP is any indication of how useful offensive spells are in the game, specialize in Fire and Lightning if you want pure offense, then dabble with a little Earth and Acid on the side for those rare monsters that are strong against lightning and fire but weak to blunt trauma or acid.

As someone else said, Ice is one of the most resisted especially by undead, in PnP there are some semi-useful water attacks like Geyser, Vortex, and Tsunami to compensate when ice doesn't work but I'm not sure if they're in Kingmaker.

regular Sorc is pretty good with touches / ranged touches aswell. Don't see a reason to pick eldrich scion, considering it's basically 1 button strategy and you have companion for that.

You dont want to use any other offensive spells rather than touches, that's a feature of magus, so your consideration of element should be based on that.

You either touch bot or focus on spell improvements, dont think your magus would be able to pick all neat stuff for magus and regular casters. Also since you are melee you will want alot of abjuration slots, plus it would be kinda difficult to overcome enemies reflex without spell focuses, and magus dont really have a reason to pick evocation spell focus. You also want to spend your initial rounds on true sight/true strike arcane empowers and all the boost stuff. You dont want your combo to go into nothing. So instead of evocing questionable AoE, prepare yourself for devastating touch.

Draconic is probably the best do to the damage boost

Abyssal isn't terrible do to the +6 strength bonus you get by level 20 (the rest isnt great for a magus)

Elemental seems good but really it's better for a sorc

Fey again is more of sorc line

Infernal is utter crap do to no charm spells being in the game

Undead: DOES make you immune to alot of stuff in melee and shouldn't be ignored

Celestail gives you a few divine spells but other then that i guess the immunities at 20 are ok? but i think abyssal is better in general

think that covers it, honestly i'd probably stick with draconic for a magus, even the abyssal strength i don't think will beat it out in terms of numbers. Undead shouldn't be scoffed at either if you look at the level 20 buffs BUT since is no chill touch in game i'd probably have to try it before i can see if its great.

All in all i'd say draconic and undead are the two best

undead is good for melee. Level 20 stuff is never worth to take into consideration, since there is a big chance you wont even hit it. Death gift is PRETTY damn good for melee magus, so is false life and vampiric touch. Incorporeal form supposed to be great too, not sure how is it on practice, since by that time most enemies will be magic anyway.

I took Gold Dragon with an Aasimar so I'd get DR to 4 energy types. Gold is Fire.
