how do you beat the stag lord?
with the number of summons that pop up when you confront him, how are you supposed to kill him?

you're supposed to wander the camp murder-hoboing your way through his guards and not letting them set off any alarms. then you walk up to the inn and fight him and his bodyguards uninterrupted if all goes well.

If they set off alarm just sneak your way to the back and up the platform he is in. What I did is have Valeria enlarged tanking the stairway while the entire party burns him down O.o

If you let Kessler (I think that was her name) live, she and a few other bandits will help you in the fight with the stag lord.

I had my rogue sneak and kill the owlbear then shoot at the farthest enemy. Then had my eniter party run away toward the entrance to the fort. It was pretty easy to kill the bad guys and bunch of them did not follow.

There are a lot you can do to tip the fight in your favor if you sneak in. You can convince his right hand man to stay out of the fight or join you. You can kill the owlbear or make it fight for you. You can kill off 2 of his goons on the far east before the fight begins. The two axe lady and her bandits will join you if you spare her and tell her to join later.

Have you tried walking up and stabbing him in the face, like a man?

Also, I had one of my casters use Reduce Person on him.

Fighting a tiny Stag Lord is pretty funny!

This fight is rediculous. I've tried like 20 times, 20 different ways to beat him - nothing so far! I managed to stay alive with may main and him alone, but even when I had like 28 AC, he has +13 attack so he hits you easily. You can try all the above suggestions - I did - but because the combat is so swingy it might just be pure luck that you lost of won.

There isn't any difficulty in a fight.

All you need is to clear map without triggering an alarm (web, hold person, etc).

You can send melee nearby to his place without triggering fight (or even just on his spawn under Invisibility). Well buffed lvl 5 Amiri burn him insanely quick.

Cleared some bandits, attacked him with Kessle's people, crowd controlled his weak Will save, killed his minions fast. By the time he was out of CC and finished his longass buff sequence he was alone, then everyone threw whatever ranged they could and he died.

As a conjuration wizard I summoned my own minions. 1d4+2 extraplanar dogs right on top of him to be exact.

Crawl along the right side of the map, go up the stairs to where he'll stand, cast web behind you, charge up and bob's your uncle.

As far as I can tell, the Stag Lord uses a bow, and doesn't change to melee weapons when you get in close to him. That should put him at a huge disadvantage if you send in a tank like Valerie, or Amiri to deal with him.

He don't provoke attack of opportunity and don't have penalties on attacks if engaged in melee.

Not so easily :)

Just have fun and figure it out. I did it on normal difficulty normal crits 1.0 normal everything with party of six at level 4

**SPOIILER**
I did this by using the advantages of the bandits, his right hand man and turning the owlbear. then invisibility potions to get up to him and kill him.
