Sure you can add your own (that's great!) but the base game should have included a few more portraits.
I had not a single one that even remotely fit my character.
1. Inconsistent in terms of tone or art style.
2. Not coming close to matching what you make.
I hate that CPRG developer seem to think they need to literally make BG2 again along with all of the limitations.
That's one of the few that do it right, as they literally just take a screenshot of the face/hair/skin you're using.
Right. No one has any right to complain about anything in any game since they can do research.
Only 2 pure Elf portraits, and they're both friggin archers?
Only 1 Half Elf portrait, and it's Jamandi Aldori's?
Only 2 male Gnome portraits, one of which is Tartuccio's?
Seriously, who the hell was in charge of this section!?
It's pretty easy to say, "Yes, I acknowledge your point and I agree that there is a limited selection of portraits."
I think the game is great. I agree the portrait selection is trash. It could have been pretty easily resolved by the developers instead of players having to do the work themselves. And, it's NOT that easy for people who aren't very computer saavy. I know plenty of people who like PC gaming and aren't great at using a computer.
Quit making trash arguments, OP is right. The portrait selection objectively sucks.
Agreed. I've imported a few and keep checking the pinned thread as that collection expands, but it is hard to find portraits that match the style and quality of the companions' portraits.
If Owlcat's rapid delivery of hotfixes are any indication of their ongoing commitment though, I'm hopeful we might see something sometime in future. Months away probably, at best, but hopefully.
