Monk, because of the obvious goal of seeking enlightenment.
Magus, because of their interest in mastering a wide range of talents.
And finally, Green Dragon Disciple, because Green Dragons have a reputation for being perfectionists.
As a matter of fact, from the many characters I played on tabletop over the years, none had the slightest ambition to become a king. Some ended up leading thieves guilds, huge temples, many were counsilors for kings and queens. But I never made a character who would even like to wear a crown.
So I plan on new characters concepts here: 1st-Human NG Inquisitor(Cayden, making a safe haven for orphans and outcasts); 2nd- Elf CN Sorcerer (Calistria, to create a hedonistic nation); and maybe a 3rd playtrough for LE Fighter/Vivisectionist (Roose Bolton).
Make sure to take the Eldritch Scion Archetype if you go Magus - it's the one Regongar (the half-orc magus companion) is using and turns the class into a Charisma-based spontaneous caster. Normal Magi are Int-based prepared casters with a spellbook like a Wizard and (unless the game changes things from tabletop) Dragon Disciple requires you to be a spontaneous caster.
As for myself...
First playthrough is going to be with an Angelkin Aasimar Aldori Defender (it's a Fighter archetype) - same as what I'm using in a Kingmaker campaign on the Paizo boards at the moment.
Second go - Gold Draconic Sorcerer (either human or half-orc) eventually going into Dragon Disciple and designing the build for switching between spellcasting at range and clawing the ever-loving crap out of squishier people.
If Tieflings ever get added to the game, and they expand the deity options to include some empyreal lords, then I may re-create the paladin character I've been using in a Wrath of the Righteous campaign who I made as the most un-paladin-like paladin possible then roleplaying them as a serious character. Luciana Moretti, demon-spawn tiefling paladin of Lymnieris and a girl who'll flirt with just about every attractive woman she meets. Even got a picture of her drawn up by Red (from Overly Sarcastic Productions) as a Patreon reward.[i.pinimg.com]
Can anyone suggest a good build of this? Can you vary the amount it is weapon damage vs magic damage, or is it naturally weighted towards one more?
Like high intelligence and high strength? It seems like carry weight is really low so this would help. Would a half orc be best here?
Be an elf for the martial elven swords? would that stack with the sword saint preferred weapon?
Or high intelligence and high dex, then using a dex weapon? guess you could get better dodge? I'd like decent defense even though it isn't great with this class. would the abilities to add intelligence to weapon damage still work if you used dex and the feat to make damage scale from that?
