I thought I had plenty of rations. I've always used the Hunting, which I don't think uses up any camp rations. I'm not completely sure about that, though.
Anyways, I barely managed to pull through this dungeon and upon returning to my capital, I immediately bought 100 units worth of camping supplies and rations!

Yes.

I made the foolish move of not bring enough rations before proceeding into the room before final boss (those ancient water elements though), ended up stuck between either restard the entire run or lowering difficulty :(
I've had issues with the "Don't use rations" button disabling, causing my party to use rations as opposed to hunting when outdoors. Always double check it.
I was feeling the same way, but in a moment of clever desperation, I tried to stealth my way past them. Popped an invisibility spell on my Vivisectionist and had him sprint towards the door switch, then had everybody rush the boss room. Once I got his health low enough, a cutscene triggered, and the Water Elementals were forced out of the fight. :)
WOW, didn't know about this trick! thanks for pointing out!
after the fight with the zombie mage at the 2nd level... after that was mostly focusing and crowd controlling monsters that can level drain. Ended up with one negative level on Valerie when I reached the boss. I had very much enjoyed that dungeon.
The only thing I didn't like was the boss insta gibbing one of my companions. Because it happend to be Tristan and I had to redo whole boss fight. The cutscene wouldn't play with him out cold.
Btw anyone done the shrine that Tristan asks you to collapse? I'm wondering what have I missed in there.
I had enough rations to rest 3 times in that dungeon. But it was the first place in the game i realized that i need diamond dust for some spells. Sadly it was exactly when i tried to remove those nasty level drains.
The boss was a huge disappointment, though. There were some tough fights in the dungeon and then it was over after around 2 seconds each part. Guess i got some lucky rolls.
I had Harrim cast Disrupting Weapon on my Elven Curve Blade, then hacked away at the undead cyclops!
My main is a paladin so I had pretty easy time with the boss too.
I think he only had around 100-150 life. With haste i rolled over his face like a truck. Had expected more after all this introduction with those soul collectors and so on.
