Varnhold's lot is a side story. Haven't played it myself but I've read that, if played at the right time, has some minor effect on the main campaign. Not sure about new feats since I've always had it installed so I wouldn't know the difference.
Aside from that I would agree with ELVIS, Wildcards is the most worthwhile dlc overall.
The Dungeon from Beneath the Stolen Lands is long but rather generic. It's nice for additional xp / items and gives you something to do while waiting for the next chapter but that's about it. Second best dlc imo.
Concerning Varnhold's Lot. I'm not a fan of side storys and mostly ignore them. To me, that's wasted effort that could have gone into the main story or a possible sequel. Maybe I'll play it someday, who knows...
Your time is more valuable than the pennies you'd save. It's this nickel and diming that led to Gamergate (VC's going for woke deep pockets instead of mass markets).
I like mass markets because they're made up of regular people like us, not spoiled rich kids with more money than sense. I'd prefer games be made with the former in mind rather than the latter. That means paying enough to make it viable. It's the same argument Henry Ford made for paying his workers a good wage.
This isn't the Codex. Most people here are not going to understand what you are saying.
Varnhold's Lot is hit or miss. It's just a prequel to the Varnhold chapter of the main campaign, and it doesn't even really pay off that much because you don't get to keep anything from the adventure when you're done.
You start off at level 5, and by the time you finish, you should be somewhere between level 8 or 10. So you can use it as a brief test module to see how various builds work. But playing through Beneath the Stolen Lands in Rogue Mode accomplishes this far better than the Varnhold DLC.
My Point is: Instead of creating a side story and giving me control over a party I probably don't care all that much about for a short whille, wouldn't it have been a better use of resources to improve that chapter in the main campaign itself? Admittedly not an easy task after the game has already been released but not unheard of either (see DOS 2, and they did it for free).
Or expand the campaign in some other way?
Not that it matters all that much. This is still a great game and I don't regret supporting Owlcat by owning all the available DLC.
The Wildcard: Probably the best of the 3 for your money.
Varnhold: Good and well done, add little bit of back story to the main story and the imported items are great. However, stopping main campaign for 8h to do the DLC can be annoying.
Beneath the Stolen land: A good testing ground in the rogue like infinite dungeon mode but get old and boring after a while. During the main campaign, its quite fun with challenging fights and modest rewards and loots.
Note: You are currently in chap3? Its pretty much now or for the second gameplay...
Really liked Varnhold's Lot, but mostly because I liked Varnhold's characters. They are great. Dungeon is fine too. I strongly recommend you to level up Trickery even if you already have Rogue on your playthrough.
The Wildcard was meh for me. One not so great class and one race which should've been in the main game. New character is mediocre, but quests are fine.
Whatever man I don't really care.
