Are DLCs worth getting?
GOG have it at discount so I was wondering about "Beneath The Stolen Lands" since Im really about dungeon exploration. But at the same time, description for Varnhold's Lot mention additional feats and stuff. Is it really something important? What are the opinions?

All DLCs combined are pretty costly after all.

I already made fully custom party so no need for new class or new race, so Im interested in remaining two.

Beneath the Stolen Lands adds an additional dungeon to the main campaing. Might be worth it for you.

Varnhold's lot is a side story. Haven't played it myself but I've read that, if played at the right time, has some minor effect on the main campaign. Not sure about new feats since I've always had it installed so I wouldn't know the difference.

Aside from that I would agree with ELVIS, Wildcards is the most worthwhile dlc overall.
What makes new race and class more worthy than extra (long) dungeon and side story for ~8 hours?

It's not just a new race and class, you get a new companion with their own quest, so there's additional content as well. I always use the story companions and never run custom parties, so that's a huge plus for me. Probably not as much for you.

The Dungeon from Beneath the Stolen Lands is long but rather generic. It's nice for additional xp / items and gives you something to do while waiting for the next chapter but that's about it. Second best dlc imo.

Concerning Varnhold's Lot. I'm not a fan of side storys and mostly ignore them. To me, that's wasted effort that could have gone into the main story or a possible sequel. Maybe I'll play it someday, who knows...

BtSL is largely for munchkins/powergamers who are looking to push as far as they can with min/max builds, tbh. That's not a bad thing, it just might not be YOUR thing.

Yes
Check out isthereanydeal.com and look for the season pass. The website is brilliant, scours all the websites for who has the best deals

I gotta disagree with Jackfrost. The varnhold lot dlc adds a lot to the other wise dull 4th chapter and provides backstory to the characters you find in the main game. It also has several items that can buy carried over into the main campaign.

Your time is more valuable than the pennies you'd save. It's this nickel and diming that led to Gamergate (VC's going for woke deep pockets instead of mass markets).

I like mass markets because they're made up of regular people like us, not spoiled rich kids with more money than sense. I'd prefer games be made with the former in mind rather than the latter. That means paying enough to make it viable. It's the same argument Henry Ford made for paying his workers a good wage.

"Gamer Gate"
This isn't the Codex. Most people here are not going to understand what you are saying.

Wild Cards and Beneath the Stolen Lands are both good. One adds a brand new companion, a new playable race (Tiefling) and the Kineticist class to the game, the other adds a whole new dungeon and the Slayer class to the game.

Varnhold's Lot is hit or miss. It's just a prequel to the Varnhold chapter of the main campaign, and it doesn't even really pay off that much because you don't get to keep anything from the adventure when you're done.

You start off at level 5, and by the time you finish, you should be somewhere between level 8 or 10. So you can use it as a brief test module to see how various builds work. But playing through Beneath the Stolen Lands in Rogue Mode accomplishes this far better than the Varnhold DLC.

I didn't say it doesn't add anything to the main campaign (how would I even know).

My Point is: Instead of creating a side story and giving me control over a party I probably don't care all that much about for a short whille, wouldn't it have been a better use of resources to improve that chapter in the main campaign itself? Admittedly not an easy task after the game has already been released but not unheard of either (see DOS 2, and they did it for free).

Or expand the campaign in some other way?

Not that it matters all that much. This is still a great game and I don't regret supporting Owlcat by owning all the available DLC.

I like them and for around 20$ for all of them ... sure

The Wildcard: Probably the best of the 3 for your money.

Varnhold: Good and well done, add little bit of back story to the main story and the imported items are great. However, stopping main campaign for 8h to do the DLC can be annoying.

Beneath the Stolen land: A good testing ground in the rogue like infinite dungeon mode but get old and boring after a while. During the main campaign, its quite fun with challenging fights and modest rewards and loots.

Note: You are currently in chap3? Its pretty much now or for the second gameplay...

Beneath the Stolen Lands was the best DLC for me, because I loved grinding dungeons and trying out new builds. You XP gains aren't divided by 4, as in main game, so you level up much faster and can have fun with classes you wouldn't really touch otherwise. It's somewhat dull, tho.

Really liked Varnhold's Lot, but mostly because I liked Varnhold's characters. They are great. Dungeon is fine too. I strongly recommend you to level up Trickery even if you already have Rogue on your playthrough.

The Wildcard was meh for me. One not so great class and one race which should've been in the main game. New character is mediocre, but quests are fine.
