Who Can Crossbreed?
So, been interested to try out some romance options lately, and been trying to decide on a character to go with. Unfortunately, I'm a role player; and if I'm going to become monarch over a kingdom, then I would prefer a relationship that produces viable heirs to the throne, without having to adopt common peasant filth into my noble lineage!

So when it comes to Pathfinder, what races besides Elves, Orcs, Tieflings and Aasimar are able to cross breed with humans? If I were playing as a Gnome, Halfling, or a Dwarf, could I still have kids with Octavia, Valerie, Tristian, Regongar, or the twins?

Or would our coupling fail to produce any results?

I would appreciate a clear answer to this, as the stability of my kingdom's future depends on it!

This topic reminds me of Dark Sun and Muls (dwarf/human sterile crossbreeds).

Abominations that I would throw into a fire (and roast marshmellows)

Note to the easily triggered - I don't condone the killing of babies. I just like to hate on Octavia and Reg.

I think that would depend on what kind of mythology you're going with.

First of all, they're both half humans, which should already be somewhat compatible with each other.

Secondly, there are a lot of fantasy settings which claim that Orcs are a corrupted form of Elves. Which again would make them biologically compatible in some regard.

So what would their children look like? Probably a random assortment of Half Orc / Half Elf children. :)

Pretty much. And, if you feeling adventurous, there's always Lamashtu >.>

What would a half-Elf half-Centaur look like? :steamhappy:

Mostly human. Slightly pointy ears. Hairy, and sports a horse's c***.

Indeed, this is a game by a company called OwlCat, after all.

No matter how hard you try, your facial hair will never be as over the top ridiculously styled as someone who is Half Dwarf and Half Gnome...

Humans, Orcs, Elves, Tieflings, Aasimar and of course Half-Elf and Half-Orc can all cross breed. According to official lore.

The fact there are no Half-Dwarf and Half-Halfling (Quaterling?) makes me think, those two are not "compatible" with Humans. That does not mean, in official PF, Aasimar cannot be of Dwarven origin. More or less Demons and Celestials bang everything that moves, so officially a Tiefling and Aasimar can be of any of the official races.

Gnomes are Fey creatures, thus are not compatible with races of the True World.

Maybe not in 1st edition, which this game seems to take place in. But according to 2nd edition, you can be a Half Elf or Half Orc lineage from other races besides human, too. All it requires is the DM's permission, and you can have a Dwarf with Orc blood, or a Halfling with Elf blood, est.

Way I remember it, there was a village that, until destroyed by a curse, had fey crossbreesding with humans pretty regularry. So, both should be pretty compatible with humans, at least >.>

Yes, a dryad married a village girl and they had a kid who is implied to be the swamp witch.

A Fey's whole world is practically drowning in magic, and it's pretty much expected that they aren't beholden to the same limitations as those who dwell in the material plane.

It isn't. What is implied is that witch is Elga Verniex daughter of satyr and woman villager.

And to add to discusion if fey couldn't have children with people of True World, you wouldn't have any Sorcerer with Fey bloodline. Same could be said about any bloodline since sorcerer can be of any race.
