If Overlord has taught me anything, it's that Lizardmen would make awesome allies!
And now I want to play one... :(
https://youtu.be/pcZwA1xdbiA
I rather enjoyed it. We already know Ainz and his floor guardians are between 20 to 30 levels higher than the strongest known inhabitants of the New World. It would get boring if the entire show was about them effortlessly steam rolling everything they came across.
Also, lizardman sex was hot!
I disagree I wanted to see MORE of Lord Ainz walking around steam rolling people, and doing evil things, while also dominating the world. I did not want to see an entire season wasted on lizard people, did they even show up in later seasons?
I think we can ignore the children, when you consider that a Chaotic Evil capital has mutilated bodies impaled on sharpened stakes just sitting in the middle of the village.
Yes, they are training with Hamsuke to teach her martial arts, and the Lizardmen are now happily living as servants of Nazarick. Thanks to Ainz, their society is more prosperous than it's ever been.
Anyways! I might decide to give the anime another watch. I kind of dropped it at season 2, the whole story arc about the lizard folk was so insufferably boring.
Ainz and his crew are 40-60 levels above most of the strongest people they steam roll
For reference a single "legendary" undead (low low tier) summon - Death Knight - Is level 35... The hamster after leveling up is about level 30
The hamster would herself steamroll most of the worlds people the show gives you
Fluder might be level 40-50 prob, more after they make him a lich, but then hes ains
Enri after the general upgrade is probably 20s and her army is pushing 40s
Gaztef is maybe 30
The scripture has some 50-60ish
Platinum dragonlord is in the 70s to 80s
The humans invading the village at the start. So weak that a level 35 trash summon slaughters them.
Barring hidden players and special world items nothing poses a threat
Then you have to worry about the equipment they have, the best new world equipment is pretty shoddy compared to even what summons ains can just make... that alone would make his level 50's able to take out dragonlord
Then you take into account that the player created characters have designed builds with specific levels and spells learned
vs the random mash of classes and spells new world people get (for example Enri has some levels in farmer which no player would have chosen) So even if a new worlder got to level 100, and they aquired equipment which simply doesn't exist for them, they would still have at best a jack of all master of literally none builds scattered so thin they suck
Did this guy seriously go into great detail about the power levels of the anime characters!
What!
Not quite. The strongest HUMANS in the New World are around level 30, but there are non humans who are much higher. Zesshi, the Half Elf that was playing with the Rubix Cube is level 80, and she is the strongest New World denizen that we have seen in the series so far. The Platinum Dragon Lord is somewhere in the level 60 to 70 range. It's stated that he could have become much more powerful if he truly wanted to, but he's a pacifist and neglected to train himself for combat.
According to the Overlord Wiki, a new tier of magic became available every 7 levels you possessed. With Super Tier (11th level) magic becoming available at level 70. Since Fluder is one of only 3 people in the New World who can cast 6th tier magic, we can estimate his level to be somewhere in the 40's. But even then, he's stated to be at least 200 years old, so his power was clearly not easily obtained.
Before she met Ainz, Hamsuke was somewhere in the low 30's in terms of character level. That doesn't sound all that impressive. But remember that I said the strongest humans are around level 30 as well. Meaning that Hamsuke is on par with warriors like Brain and Gazef. Even though she's played off as comic relief, she's actually extremely dangerous as far as the New World is concerned.
But oddly that wasn't the first anime I saw with Lizardman romance. I never thought that would be a trope.
You know that his Karma rating is -500 (Extremely Evil), right?
Ainz specifically built his character for the purpose of role playing as a necromancer overlord. And upon entering the New World, his character archetype has begun to override his human personality.
Heck, he doesn't even view the people of the New World as actual people. A distinction he made very clear, when he referred to Players from Yggdrasil as "real people!"
Also, if you thought him killing one party of adventurers is bad, wait until you see what he ends up doing afterward!
