What do you think they'll be?

Seeing as Nvidia Gimpworks(tm) is plastered everywhere, there's no real way to tell until release, unfortunately.

i just hope my 980 is enough to play 1080p/60fps

Square isn't exactly known for their PC optimization. So I'd guess 1080ti and an i9 for 1080p.

Think Nier Automata.

i hope my i7+gtx1070+16GBram can handle it.

I just want a solid 1080p60 with my 980 Ti, with all the GameWorks effects too.

You'll be fine.

The current recommendeds going around are clearly for the 4K/8K HDR crowd.

This game isn't some relevatory thing like Crysis was back in the day. Obviously if you want to push 4K you need the heavier equipment, but otherwise a 10 series will push this fine at 1080p.

Please tell them again.

SE is NOT known for PC optimization. If you think 60 fps is obtainable ... think again.

Luminous Engine + SE non existent optimization + Nvidia bloatware = 30fps (of you're lucky)

1080ti would likely be the ideal gpu. Anything lower or AMD based would likely not be able to enjoy the game to its fullest without issue.

I second this ♥♥♥♥. Square Enix Japan sucks at PC ports and Nvidia Game-does-not-Works adds useless performance tanking ♥♥♥♥ on both Nvidia and AMD hardware.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a single 1080 Ti would end up just being /barely/ enough for 1080p60 when we're dealing with this combination of corporations.

I dunno... The Witcher 3 still runs better on similar AMD hardware than on Nvidia hardware due to AMD actually allowing their users to optimize (aka limit) tessellation levels through their drivers, something Nvidia doesn't do and instead forcefully runs everything at x16 tessellation or something, despite there being no actual visual difference.

Think my R9 390 8GB will be enough? I'm worried lol.

1080p, well I think they are lazy for optimization. They will make it simple, 1080p = GTX 1080, same number.

Might require a bit more than Nier Automata. That was made to run at 60 on consoles, as opposed to FFXV being optimized for 30.

My GT 210 is ready

...

♥♥♥♥...

I /really/ hope that FFXV runs at 60 FPS on PCs or otherwise I won't buy it at all.
