I hope so because it's the depth of the system that one has to become familiar with that gives the above, superficially accessable sequence of combat so much fun... and who the heck uses potions in an FF game?
Actually in reality I don't really care about Squeex and their products now, because if they do return to their previous formula I'm certainly not going to be stupid enough to support them, just because they've decided to re-cater to the market that allowed the FF name to get so big that Squeex felt they had the ability to sideline their long time supporters in favour of an audience that had hitherto ignored them in the first place.
Opinions are wonderful, that's exactly how I feel about XV.
Good riddance.
They should've fired Tetsuya Nomura as well.
Watch out, you're bringing the heat with that argument about Tetsuya Nomura.
Then again, you're the same person who likes to bring up FFXV in every review.
i rather have that than warp strike ->warp strike -> warp strike -> warp strike -> Win
Also the more RNG the game has to rely on over your own skill the worse of a mechanic and system it is, Random encounters were a huge mistake
FF was what got me into SMT, it made me search more TB gaming out... and I'll BET that you're not as hardcore about SMT than me, heh. :) :P
..Speaking of SMT, did you read the comments the devs said about the new one for the switch? (paraphrasing) it'll have the accesability of the 3ds games and "the charm" of Nocturne.
That statement alone proves none of the devs have a clue about the SMT series. There are MANY, MANY words I could use to describe Nocturne, awe-inspiring, philisophical, ponderous, grotesque being but a few.. but 'charming'......DA FUQ, MAN?
