What Square calls "Mods" on the workshop are just cosmetic.
Until square releases a mod system such as bethesda's creation kit, (They've implied they will at some point) It will remain this way.
I'm not interested in re-skins that do silly things like make your sword look like a cactuar, just having the highest quality experience possible.
If you did, i guess you didn't understand.
I was not telling you to download the crappy cosmetic mods, I was saying that is all that there is.
----------------------------------------
My reference Bethesda's creation kit (EXPLAINED)
Bethesda's creation kit allows people to create very in Depth mods.
Not only cosmetics.
Visual enhancements past re-shade will not be possible until Square prevides higher quality mod tools.
----------------------------------------
I am saying the -only- mods available are Cosmetic. Re-shade and special-K do not count as mods per se.
re-shade works with any game you install it to, and all it does is filter your screen with effects.
There are no "mods" that fit your description per se.
Nobody can make them yet,
Hopefully you can understand.
There were at least 5 separate mods to improve performance and graphics released in the first week the game was out alone.
How is the turf effects MOD I linked to in my first post not a mod? And correct me if I'm wrong, that's a visual enhancement past ReShade.
I also remember a mod that did something with the controls so it wouldn't switch between the controller and the Keyboard, that somehow led to a FPS improvement.
ReShade alters an aspect of the game, specifically in the way the game displays graphics; that's the very definition of a mod. ANYTHING that takes the game away from stock condition is a mod. Pretty sure ReShade can change the way your game processes the graphics as well (different anti-aliasing modes).
I'm not familiar with Special K.
And frankly... You could at least try to be helpful, rather than just arguing semantics over whether a mod is actually a mod or not.
I am explaining to you that what you are looking for does not exist.
You're lucky to even get a response on this forum dude, My first comment you replied to as if i told you to download cosmetic mods when i didn't.
You can keep on saying your whole spill but i don't care, I'm just going to put it bluntly.
The same thing i was saying with my first comment,
Sorry my vocabulary doesn't consist of baby speak for you.
Legit Shiggy just helping out and you are starting ♥♥♥♥ for no reason.
Why bother even making this post in form of a question, when you know the answer?
Unreal.
A tweak is just a another name for a mod. Calling it by a different name doesn't change what it is.
As I said ANYTHING that changes the game from stock conditions is a mod.
Just because I have a vague idea of what mods were available 3 months ago doesn't mean I have clue 1 what's been done since then.
Fine... Since it's obvious you people are incapable of answering a question without your incorrect terminology being used...
What tweaks will give the best graphics and performance? (*rolls eyes*)
Performance and graphic enhancement mods/tweaks are limited and there just aren't many of them. You've basically found them all, at least any that were pubically shared. SpecialK is the one you already mentioned re: switching between KB and controllers and other Steam API issues.
The game appears fairly difficult to mod/tweak outside of .ini and API tweaks. There are very few (widely publically known and/or freebie) 3rd party tools for extracting all the files and half of them only work in half-measures or only worked on the demo install or ..... (edit - hence most people have not bothered to make/experiment much and it'll likely remain that way until/unless SE is more open re: their assets)
And sorry if I was a bit short with everyone else earlier. My sleeping problems (God I wish I only had insomnia) were flaring up and I was extremely overtired.
