Dungeons in this game are atrocious
The dungeons in this game are so, so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring.

Pitioss ruins is a 6 hour slog of platforming. Guess how fun that is with these controls.
Costlemark tower... oh man. Just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad design.
The-dungeon-that-shaln't-be-named with the 4 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SWITCHES ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WASTE OF MY TIME
The mines... tomb is hidden somewhere 99% of people won't find without a guide. why???

who designed these god-awful dungeons? I haven't heard a single word of praise so far for any of them- they all drag out waaaay longer than they need to, they all include boring as ♥♥♥♥ "puzzle" mechanics that are both frustrating and add NOTHING to the game. Noct takes 10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years just to climb a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ladder which is just painful to watch.

The dungeons in this game looks like something you'd see a 10 year old make in the source engine for his first CS:S map. For how pretty the rest of the game looks... what the ♥♥♥♥?

I agree that most of the dungeons were not so great, but the ladder comment got me. I hated the slow ladder at first, but then I came to appreciate them after I encountered the pure agony of the volcano dungeon rock climbing.

Ladders too fast? We've got the eternal climb for you! Hey, it looked like you really enjoyed that first ascent, so have another. Twice as long. You can thank us later.

Reminded me of those pointless vent animations in the batman games. only 10x worse.

Yeah the dungeons are terrible

Lol this is weird. Most people say the dungeons are pretty good. And I would say that they are better than most Final Fantasy dungeons. This is my opinion though.

And I would say Pitioss is pretty awesome. The issue with it is that the movement system is not made for tight platforming, which makes it a bit more painful than it should be, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, as well as the subtle storytelling there. The dungeon took me about 4 hours btw.

I kinda lied when I said 6 hours it take be about 3... however, I did it before on PS4. It still drags on.
The other dungeons are just bad. Some more 'straightforward' ones are ok. The long animation times doing almost anything in the puzzle sections (moving those cubes in costlemark... god) makes the others insufferable though, and that's ALL the endgame dungeons.

not to mention to the post game dungeons that are essentially all the same, dark and boring. Too easy as well.

They also all share the same one or two music tracks.

lol wut? The dungeons are great. Reminds me of the ones in FFXII, which were also pretty cool too.

same but i didn't like the ff12 dungeons :v

"The dungeons in this game looks like something you'd see a 10 year old make in the source engine for his first CS:S map" ?

Are you for real ? Some of these dungeons and the complexity and the work spend on them are a work of art.But i guess you want a linair "dungeon" that you run in with your eyes closed, then get an endboss that you kill with 5 hits and feel you done smthing good.Guess you lot never played Lost Odyssey,it had a maze dungeon with flipping platforms and filled with some of the toughest ingame bosses and mobs that would make you poke your eyes out.The puzzle dungeon doesnt have a thing on that one.

Pitioss was a great change of pace. I didn't have any issues with the controls and I'm using KBM. It was a very well designed dungeon. The only problem I had with it was my own timing issues and sometimes the camera was really screwed up in the cramped spaces towards the end, but that's it.

As for the rest, they're just meh. Average overall. Hate the maze dungeons like the sewers though. The rest were mostly ok.

Do have to agree with sewers,i only disliked that one cus of the forced ledge and ladder animations when you ran through it the first time not quite sure what to do to open that blue gate yet.
