Stutter help please
So, I have all my settings on average, nvidia stuff turned off, 4k assets off, I have a gtx 1080, 16ram, I7 6k and installed on HDD. I'm lost on why I see people have my specs and their game seems to run fine. My fps at times drops to low 50s in fights and I get stutters here and there when I'm just walking. Idk what's going on. My system memory seems to be around 49% and my GPU memory around 36%. Can anyone let me know?

Edit: I also have RiviaTuner if that helps.

1) Validate that the game actually runs in exclusive fullscreen mode.

2) Run this little mini-mod to throttle the Steam API usage back: http://steamcommunity.com/app/637650/discussions/0/1697167168518535998/

3) Uninstall everything related to GeForce Experience and disable Ansel by running C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Ansel\Tools\NvCameraConfiguration.exe as administrator and check "Disabled" at the bottom of the window that opens. Then click OK. This disables Ansel system-wide

See if that performs any better.

Gonna try it in 1sec, but how would I know if it's running on exclusive full screen? Enabling fullscreen isn't enough?

Reddit, mail subscription, visiting their website, online media, gaming media, social media, social forums, game community, etc.

That's literally the least important function of GeForce Experience IMHO :)

Apparently Ansel might force the game into borderless window mode despite Fullscreen being active. You should notice a display mode switch (your monitor goes blank for a few seconds) if it actually switches to exclusive fullscreen mode on launch. You can also switch into it using Alt+Enter.

What doesn't let you? It should be a simple extraction into the game folder.

Edit: Remove d3d11_shaders.ini though, as that's a joke that messes with Noctis' eyes.

It can potentially fix *one kind* of stuttering. It isn't an ultimate fix to *all' kinds of stuttering. I can't say whether it will fix the issue or not (probably not though) but could at least help a bit.

Is your vram getting super high? Changing TRAM to lowest fixed a lot of my random drops otherwise it fills up and then gives me nasty drops.

Kaldaien updated his tool yesterday to reduce hitching which was found to be caused by SteamAPI, don't know if this is your stuttering problem or not but could help.
