Why are there multiple Shivas in her summon?

Is there a reason why? I cant think of any of the FF games, outside of 13, where Shiva's summon was multiple people. In 13 it was her split into two parts, and the two would come together to form a ice motorcycle, so they had some what of a reason to be split up, but in 15 she's literally split up into like 6-8 other Shiva's (I honestly don't feel like counting) for seemingly no reason.

Anyone know why, or did the developers just want Noctis to have a massive ice orgy anytime she was summoned?????

I would hazard a guess that since the real shiva is a friggen giant (like all the other gods) that her power is divided into lots of smaller beings? I dunno, i can't think of any other reason.

In Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT on PS4 in battle with her, she also splits in two, but as for summon animation - she doesn't split there. I don't know since when it became canon to make multiple Shivas summon.

They are definitely one entity, they all appear at once with one purpose; to help Noctis.
I think having several Shiva breezing in the wind around Noctis just signifies that they are the embodiment of ice and cold, embracing Noctis as he shivers.

hmm...snow it made up of several snowflakes; maybe thats why they had more the one of her being she the goddess of ice(snow). don't remember if other ffs had more then one of her when summon (oh there was snow's summon of her was 2 i think...think i remember something of a motoricyle(ms)?)

Simple question, simple answer: Between Aranea and Cindy, they didn't meet the cleavage quota (which is totally a real and very serious quota every FF game has to reach during development, or else the project is cancelled and sealed) so they slapped multiple Shivas to make up for the lack of scantily clad women.

The fan theory that got debunked was that all oracles turned into a Shiva after they died which I liked and thought was nifty, but Tabata denied it lol. Originally, however, in Versus, the two dogs were able to turn into people, which were part of the Shiva sisters, so if anything, it's probably just a concept Tabata kept from then and didn't bother explaining it ever.
