If you download the game from steam it will be compressed and will need to decompress it, what will take a lot of time. Im seriously thinking about download the cracked game too so i can play inmediatly after the release hour :/

The "cracked" version is from Origin, so you are still gonna have to download something. Depends on what Steam determines you need to download. Could just be the EXE, could be the whole game. You take the risk. Also, even though you own the game, talking about taking part in piracy is still against Steam ToS. Also, if you decide to start playing early, your save game, as far as we know at least, will not carry over to the Steam version as the "cracked" (I hate that term as this was not a crack more screw up on EA's and Square's side) is from Origin.

Yeah. I tend to do that for games that turn out to be too big. Ain't nobody's making me download 40 GB when I can go for 20 GB instead. (For the recrd, this is an example)

What you have to do is find out what Steam names the FFXV folder (I imagine it would be "FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION" or just "FINAL FANTASY XV" if we consider how the demo folder is named) and copy the installation there. By default, Steam installs games to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common," so you'd have to put the folder with the files in there.

If it works, you should see a message saying "discoverying local files" or something similar when Steam starts to allocate disk space. No need to verify files if that message shows up because if Steam thinks anything's wrong, it will download files all over again (and it could be a few files worth a few MB to a few GB to the whole game, as I have learned the hard way).

Good luck finding out the name of the folder if it isn't the ones I suggested, though... People on Steam can be very petty if you download the game through torrent even if you own it a hundred times over.

Thanks bros. Reason why i asked is because steam speed atm is extremely slow. while the torrent is 4 times faster.
Well i could just finish zodiac age while waiting for the 85 GB to finish downloading

Np, mate.

And for the record, you can actually backup your games on an external hard drive to avoid having to download them again. Just copy the folder (after the game is fully downloaded and up to date, and I would also recommend avoiding mods in the backup if you want a clean installation the next time) to your external HD and then copy them over back to the common folder when you want them back on Steam. It's a good way to save space with big games you might want to play again at some point.

Good idea. thanks again. Time to purchase 6 T.B for back-up. Finally found a purpose for my 150$ reward.
