Textures switch to low res LOD constantly at 4gb video card!
This is very annoying, no matter how much VRAM i set for texture streaming, they get res only if camera i about 1 meter away from object, a little far and textures gets so low res, its looks worse than PS3 games textures. Something is totally buged in texture streaming of this game, and i suppose full version at release date will have this bug as well, so im writing this in hope it will be fixed in full release.
4gb maybe not the biggest VRAM amount but it was enought in most of games i played even with uber high res texture mods, for example Witcher 3, GTA V, Fallout 4 with high res mods. AMount of vram for streaming does not change anything really, at min or max texture streaming is bugged, and i cant anyhow force high res texture.

ALso, did i mention that stream in delay is very high and that textures load very slowly? And that happens for me not even on SSD drive but with super fast (about 6 Gb per second)) RAM cache with 2nd layer SSD cache of about 50 gb size (i dedicated 8 gb of ram and entire 50 gb SSD for HDD cache and has super fast read\write speeds). I reminds me old Unreal Engine 3 texture streaming bug, but even there textures did not flip to super low res meter away from camera.

Turn down the TRAM setting to Low or Medium.

Also. update to latest GPU drivers if you haven't already. I noticed that weird low texture at close range thing too initially, updated to most recent nvidia driver and it went away.

done that and desribed that before you wrote, it did not work, because its... you know, BUGGED!

There is no way to fix currently used max mip level of texture and distance at which it should be preserved or time off screen until its unload and game set them dynamically and the way it does it very buggy. They need to make option for mip lod switch distance and setting for delay before mip lod switch from highest to lowest will happen and should allow us to set exact maximum texture resolution to be used, instead of current dynamic system.

Having 980 myself, the only way to increase the LOD considerably was to increase the TRAM setting to highest. But then you start to run out of memory altogether :/
