Weird character twitches
Many are getting weird character twitches (noctis cape flying round randomly). When running at FPS above 30. If you have issue its fixed by setting FPS to 30 which is completely unacceptable.

Anyone else getting issue post specs below:

I5 4690k | 8GB | GTX 1070

Latest drivers installed.

I've been reading reddit and there are i7 users with the problem, even though i5 users are definitely the majority.

Specs: i5 6600, 1060 3gb.

I noticed almost everyone here is using i5 from any generation. i5 bug perhaps? lol

nope, i have the same problem, i7 4770k, gtx 1080, 16gb ram, windows 7 64bit
I think it's just the LOD bug they said they found in the benchmark. Hopefully they fix it in the final game release.

Are the twitches only happening around the boys' car? Cuz it's for me only ever happening when the car is nearby / in the frame

This much is expected from a Demo. Probably will be fixed on release or first patch. Nothing game breaking thankfully.

My only concern is that Square has so far been AWFUL with patches. I'm hoping FFXV is their first fully supported PC port. They seem to be taking strides to make it a smooth launch so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I've cancelled my preorder until this issue is confirmed as fixed or being looked at.

I have a G4560 and it got fixed by increasing textures to High and RAM to high. But this cause a few sttuters and a lose of 10 to 15 fps. GPU 1050TI

Yep, after fixing the flickering I've experienced some stuttering - not much, but some.

its vsync, you have to turn the games off and your graphic cards on. I spent like 30 minutes figuring this out. Adaptive, in-gam sync, and half adaptive have the issue but Fast and On don't.... go figure. Fast would be the best option too except it might leave dark barely noticable waves

I'll give this a shot. I've cancelled preorder due to issue.

Doesnt work sadly. Still get twitches. Capping the framerate to 45fps via rtss helps or seemed to. Nothing eliminates it completely sadly from my tests.

That's exactly what i'm experiencing with the demo too. Absolutely nothing seems to completely eliminate the weird twitches...

Ok I got it working well enough for my needs and completely eliminated the twitching. Sadly the only way to achieve this is setting FPS to 30. Everytime thats resolved it completely I just refused to accept it as it felt awful to play.

However the reason for that is that the ingame 30 FPS lock is absolutely, utterly terrible. Seriously its so awful its amazing feels really jerky and loads of input lag.

What I've done is download RivaTuner Statistic Server and capped the framerate at 30 using that tool (i tried 45 and that doesnt eliminate). Now its not as responsive as the 50-60 I was managing before but it feels MUCH MUCH better than the ingame 30 fps cap and also the base PS4 version.

So if framerate doesnt matter as long as it feel smooth I recommend doing the above.

I also get no tearing due to g sync and I dont have v sync on (input lag).

Anyway game looks gorgeous and runs well so try this out until its hopefully fixed.
