[Petition] - SE! Patch FFXV performance issues introduced in recent updates of steam version!

Long story short:

THIS IS STEAM VERSION EXCLUSIVE PROBLEM, it does not happen in Origin and Windows Store version, and it started to happen after some updates,

Also, im not saying its Denuvo... but it could be it, we saw this problem many times before in many games, maybe its some steam stub + denuvo exclusive issue, i dont know, but what i know for sure - MY GAMEPLAY PERFORMANCE IS DOWNGRADE COMPARED TO WHAT IT WAS YEAR AGO, and also IT DOES NOT HAPPEN IN ORIGIN AND WINDOWS STORE VERSIONS (im not sure if Origin version has Denuvo, but as far as i remembr Windows Store version did not have it and since begining it had better performance, which we discussed about year ago in now clother or deleteted thread).

I dont care if that denuvo or something else causing it, but i want to play may game with performance it used to have before without downgrading it to old version!


You SQUARE ENIX screwed you headliner game (its a finaly fantasy, game which saved company many years ago! and 15 which is probably longest produced FF game! Have some respect and care for your own legacy, Square Enix!) and dont even care to fix it for entire year, yet you sell new DLC! This is unacceptable!

Release a patch that will fix this problem!

Everyone please vote in this thread and demand SE to fix this, using third party tools and downgrade of games is no real solution, show SE we would not tolerate this!

P.S. - we all really need to lobby internation laws that will force IT companies to update commercial products until crtifical bugs, performance issues or regression caused by updates will be fixed, and such laws should provide unlimited refund time rights for any product that has critcal bugs and performance issues or regression introduced in updates unfixed in some limited time frame like 1 - 6 months depending on complexity of issue.

Which means if they dont fix something important, in time frame of 1 - 6 month, they should be forced to provide you full refund without any resistance, and with return of product, or they should provide you refund of at least half of entire price of product (and dlc and product should be treated as one whole unit you should get refund for) without return of product. So you can choose if you want to keep half broken product and get half of its price back, or completely return it.

In some countries like Russian we have similar laws related to harware, if it cant be fixed in given time like month or gets broken again and again after repairs, even if warrnay is ended, you can get full refund and return failing hardware, or can demand to reduce its price up to half and refund you a difference in prices. Same logic and principles should apply to software,

This is the only way to teach IT companies to be responsible for quality of product! Im tired of this situation when companies throw out half baked half broken products, or break them later, take our money and run away, leaving us to deal with many issues, without even tryin to fix them, without warranty and without any respect to our customer rights and customer protection laws!

If you are tired of this - dont tolerate this, dont wait for publisher to decide to fix broken games or most likely abandon them, spread the word everywhere - forums, twitts, youtube, even start ad customer rights parades if you want, just spread the idea that we need such laws to protect us from irresponsibility and low quality of it products be it some app or game or driver or firmware for some hardware!

And yeah, dont forget to vote here, we need to be very vocal to get it fixed!

You've got my support.

I've had to manually downgrade to 1.25 else the game is a stuttering mess on a very high end system.

Means I miss out on nvidia dlss and all the dlcs.

There are several issues present in this game since launch:

A: interface changing from controller to PC layout causes stuttering every time. This hasn't been patched nor adressed by Square Enix.

B: snapshots taken by Prompto or the player causes the game to freeze as well

C: major stuttering is present in the game in many Lux Impetus attacks

D: DENUVO is still present in the game, causing performance loss that would otherwise minimize all these issues or even fix them.

This is all happening in a machine above the recommended requirements, which are these: Intel® Core™ i7-3770 / AMD FX™-8350 - 16 GB RAM - NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 6 GB VRAM / Radeon™ RX 480

Apart from these facts, I don't think you are going to acommplish much posting here, since 9 hours have passed and this thread isn't getting much traction. You need to send your thread to their CM, open a ticket with Square, share it on reddit, share it on Twitter.

But let's face it. They didn't do ♥♥♥♥ to fix NieR Automata on PC, they aren't going to do ♥♥♥♥ to fix this now. The game has the same performance issues it had when it was released more than a year ago. I simply won't buy Episode Ardyn until it's available for 3€ I refuse myself from giving good money to companies that don't respect the PC market. Period.

Platform used, Windows 10, Steam.

System settings,
Ryzen 2700x, 32gb ram, 2080ti, installed on 1tb 970evo. Win 10 1903, latest amd and nvidia drivers.

I've purchased the complete game in the steam sale. The game no matter the settings is a stuttering mess in general play and especially in combat, there is a solution to this, manually downgrading to v1.25. Any version past this point is unplayable, this means I'm unable to play any of the dlc I've paid for or use nvidia dlss.

This does not seem to be present on the origin or Windows store version and appears to be specific to steam post 1.25 update.

Its easier to make a crowdfunding and hire a group to fix the game than asking for it now that you have already bought the game and has no other monetary advantage to offer the company.

Game was killed early, the director left square and the company is already mobilising its teams for new projects. We're on our own.

Project FFXV is dead for them, only the profits related to the IP matter (mobile games, merchandising and tie ins)

But even with all that you want to send the message, the best bet you have here on steam is to try to call the account that made the game's pinned threads here on this forum.

You have my support as well. This patch is a mess. It stutters like crazy on my system too. Especially during combat. I even tried lowering all settings but it still freezes up every now and then. Totally unacceptable.

My system is a i7 8700K, 32GB Ram, SSD storage only, GTX 1080 8GB runing 1080P resolution. So it's not my system that's slow.

+ 1 I played this game on high setting was super smooth last year... I stopped due to work and family issues.

A week ago I reinstall and continue to finish the game, but end up in super laggy while in combat.. Basically, my game will freeze for 2 - 3 seconds when encounter any enemies, and then another 2 seconds after the fight.... This is really annoying me...

I have no problem here....get a better pc if you want a seamless gameplay. or go back to console to be locked under 30fps.
