And no, Unleashed Project for Generations doesn't count as that's a mod for Generations and doesn't feel like a complete package as it's missing the werehog, hub worlds, story and all of the charm and character put into its world.
As for Sonic Unleashed. I suppose that could receive a straight port and would be fine. Don't really care for Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, and I doubt Sega will ever bring that game back since the Sonic Boom universe seems to be pretty much dead now.
I hope Sonic P-06 gets a Sega approved port to Steam once it is fully finished like Black Mesa did. Sega should even hire the developers of it like they did Taxman and his team.
World Adventure can also come here too (Xbox/PS3 only) as well as an uncensored/uncut remaster of Shadow the Hedgehog's Xbox Classic version. Been waiting for a PC port of that game for longer. (I first played Sonic 2006 in 2012, I played Shadow when it first came out and for most of 2006, stopping only when my first original Xbox's hard drive failed)
Now I am trying getting the 10 Silver Medals in each act.
Using a videoguide.
Not all Rank S, it must be very hard and tedious.
The tedium for S ranks can come from the hard modes and many of the terrible sidequests, the latter of which is something I hope Sonic P-06 replaces with bonus levels and special stages hidden around Soleanna like in Mario Sunshine, Odyssey, Strife and A Hat in Time.
I don't recommend doing all S rank but a tip for the Crisis City S Rank coin (normal mode) is to avoid dying for all of the stage and restart from Act 1 if you do, try not to lose any or at least too much rings and once you get chased by Iblis, light dash as often as you can on every ring trail. You may take one or two hits from the debris he throws but if you've collected enough rings beforehand, it shouldn't matter too much so long as you survive to the goal ring without actually dying.
Also, I recommend trying a no lantern run of End of The World. it won't improve your rank, but it's fun to attempt as it really does feel like the apocalypse then. It's just missing the time limit that some of the dialog hidden in the script implied was meant to be there. Finding ways to use the black holes' gravity wells as slingshots in silver's part can help, but omega's is rather annoying once you reach the river with the chaos emerald, due to the white holes that spit debris at you mid hover. The sad part is that there doesn't seem to be an achievement for beating the level this way.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to have Unleashed on Steam (don't care so much about 06 or Boom though) since it's the first Hedgehog Engine game and it's held back by the consoles it was released but I am a bit aware that my need for it isn't really that significant for SEGA to decide re-release the game on PC despite what other planned projects it might interfere with.
I know there are others asking for a PC port but there is a chance that they may just be a vocal minority.
EXACTLY! There's a big difference between "need" and "want". I want to see Unleashed get the Steam treatment especially considering the positive attention it's been getting lately, but at the same time it's not really a necessity for it to be on there. Even without Steam, there are still ways to play Unleashed HD - it's even on the PS3 store for digital download along with all its DLC.
It would, however, be really nice to see it on Steam, since the PS360 versions were held back by being pushed to their hardware limitations, reducing performance, which could be drastically improved with a PC port of any sort.
You don't want the TRUTH come to light and be revealed.
In a few years, that obscure masterpiece called Sonic Boom wil be venerated as was Sonic CD until Sonic Gems Collection got out.
Unleashed? Hell yes. To me its the last truly good Sonic game, and having it play on stable framerate would be great. Did I also mention it looks better than Forces despite being nearly 10 years older?
Boom? .............................................................................................................. no.
That just makes no sense to me. How is it that a 12 year old game looks way better than a game that just came out two years ago? Isn't the point of new technology supposed to be better graphics than the last gen? Even Generations looked way better. Unleashed was also way more fun and challenging than any game afterwards with an actually interesting story that immersed the player in its world.
But yeah, Boom was just a below average licensed tie-in game that was poorly optimised for the hardware it was released on.
At least in Generations you have to beat the stages without losing any lives to get the S ranks so there's some element of challenge. Whereas I easily got the best ranks in both Shadow and Forces without much effort.
Sonic 2006 is one of the worst videogame ever made in history, even if it wasn't for the glitches, bad story and the long loading time it would still be a really bad game.
The music is the only thing salvageable in it (even if the Classic games and Mania had a better OST overal)
I'm not the one who's wrong here, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I'm angry with you because all you ever do is start flame wars with people, post bait threads to further that, and derail existing threads with the same, and I am sick of it. Not to mention you repeat the same things of "oh you're just angry because my opinion is better than yours" before peddling the same, tired ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you do elsewhere in the very next sentence like you did here.
Don't you ever tell me what you think I'm supposed to know. Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.
