Eggman 2006 model mod?
I like that design for Eggman better than his Adventure one as he looks more like his own species, like his Adventure design also does, but also looks to be a more believable unhealthy weight unlike his Adventure design. A character model replacement mod for his New Sonic design would be nice.

Please, no flame posts on which design is better or what you think of New Sonic because such arguments are irrelevent and I do not want to hear them.

A mod would be nice, can’t have too many mods :). I do prefer the Adventure design over any other but I won’t force an opinion on anyone.

Thanks. I grew up with the Adventure Design too, both for SA2 and Shadow the Hedgehog. I like his 2006 model as well as his Shadow one as it makes Eggman look both like his own species and that he lost a bit of weight. You can even see his eyes as well if you look behind his sunglasses at just the right moment in a few cutscenes. They make him look like a badass grandfather, which appears to be canon considering Nega is his desendant who survived to Silver's future and hitched a ride to Blaze's dimension through means we don't know.

His appearance in New Sonic is actually comparable to my own, except I'm not bald and I have no mustache. Not to mention his PDA spectacles and cool jacket with the round golden buttons. He has square ones on his Adventure jacket but they looked like plastic from SA1 until Heroes. Possibly in Shadow as well, though they do look metal by World Adventure.

His buttons looking like plastic in the oldest games I thought were just graphical limitations. Like Adventure 1 Eggman looks good in the CGI intro, but not in game. After that they improved the look. Just a note but Eggman Nega has 2 different stories, same with Blaze. You either have the Rush canon or 06 canon for Blaze, and the Rush or Rivals canon for Eggman Nega. It’s weird but whatever.

They should just fix the ridiculous loading and the bugs that caused unavoidable bottomless pit death in '06 and release it on Steam. Maybe as part of a package with other Sega games. I'd definitely try to actually finish 06 if I could go around those two things. But yeah. As far as that eggman goes, he looks a wee bit more threatening. just a bit. :)

Fans are actually trying to port it to PC with bugfixes and all.

I already have both the demos. Download links are in the video descriptions on youtube itself.

I also have the xbox 360 version as a physical copy (from 2012) and on Xenia using both vanilla and the Complete Edtion mod so I can play it on PC while I wait for the debugged remake.

Hopefully Sega will hire the developers to do an actual Steam port like they did with Christian Whytehead when he made the ios Sonic 1 and 2 and modern Sonic CD ports so he could make Sonic Mania.

They usually don't thank god. That's why The Taxman was hired to make Sonic Mania. Nintendo AKA Konami for Kids on the other hand...

Nintendo isnt Konami lol XD. They are horrible at managing fangames, but Konami has done much worse.

It's probably possible, but the 06 design has a relatively different build so a direct port would look messed up. And he only shows up in one boss fight, and cutscenes that are half pre-rendered so the effect would be pretty negligable.

It is a badass design though. It almost feels wasted in 06, a game where Eggman isn't the main villain. But I don't see a reason to go back to it if games aren't gonna have humans anymore, let alone realistic humans. Who knows, maybe the movie will start a widespread desire to have a more human world again.

There's the 2006 fan remake. They released the Crisis City demo recently for SAGE 2018. Check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6o9RychM9rw
