People complain because DRMs are a waste. It's useless and rather result in more problems than it prevents. So no wonder people complain. You can't just expect people to accept it.
Maybe you need to connect to a specific Server only for Steam User with the Paid copy and maybe key
Cuphead doesn't have Denuvo, around 890k sales. http://steamspy.com/app/268910
Denuvo doesn't help at all with sales, games don't need Denuvo to sell well, if anything Denuvo may even hurt sales due to how negatively it's viewed (even if not everything negative that is said about it is true).
Cuphead sold because there were much higher expectations and waiting.
So, sales don't reflect Denuvo, but rather DEV COMPETENCY
Had Sonic Mania started around the same time as Cuphead and taken as long, it would not only be more polished and have more content, but they would certainly have hyped the fans to hell and back, therefore ensuring high number of sales.
trying to compare cuphead to sonic mania is like comparing Contra or final fight to Mario. ones a side scrolling shootemup/beatemup and the other is a platformer
y'all're
Yeah true, if only there was some other DRM they could use that didn't kill performance. somthing that the customer willingly downloaded and gave extra features... maybe named after water vapor. Dont know where we could possibly get that.
