Battletech came before Earthsiege my friend. I enjoyed Earthseige as well.

Of all the BT Video game knockoffs the Metaltech series was the only one that was good enough to rival Battletech. Not so surprising because Dynamics also did the original Mechwarrior game. Earthsige and Cyberstorm are practically BT games made without licence..

It's sad that the series died in favor of the tribes spinoff.

My first Battletech style game was a weird maze navigation game... a Madcats Vs. Vulture in a blue pacman maze

Tribes was fun dude! I loved that game. My sons in their 20's now loved it too. I felt the pang in my chest as well!

I remember that game, but it's been so long I honestly don't recall the name...I have it on a 3.5 disk somewhere though...

The shield and weapon mechanics in Earthsiege made that game unique. You could also get the flying herc, the Razor, that changed the whole dynamic of the game.

except not at all. Earthseige was not turn based, so your joke fails. what you should be doing is posting this on the MW5 forums when it comes out

althrough in the same universe, it is not a earthseige game in the same way mechcommander is not a mechwarrior game. By your logic knights of the old republic would be a battlefront game just because both are set in the starwars universe. Get your facts straight you freebirth

Well, Earthsiege is the name of the universe. Much like Battletech is the name of the Universe. So technically CyberStorm is an Earthseige game, and Mechwarrior is a Battletech game.

But to your point, there is a turn based Earthsiege game. I assume that is what he was referencing; the universe as a whole.

i thought the name of the universe was metaltech or something like that. Not to mention the change the name from earthseige to starseige at one point and not earthsiege:starseige IIRC and then it led to starseige:tribes and then just tribes. So if anything, unless i am mistake the name of the universe is not earthseige and if anything points more to starseige being the name of the universe seeing as the events of starsiege ties into multiple games including the tribes universe.
