My first Battletech style game was a weird maze navigation game... a Madcats Vs. Vulture in a blue pacman maze
I remember that game, but it's been so long I honestly don't recall the name...I have it on a 3.5 disk somewhere though...
The shield and weapon mechanics in Earthsiege made that game unique. You could also get the flying herc, the Razor, that changed the whole dynamic of the game.

Well, Earthsiege is the name of the universe. Much like Battletech is the name of the Universe. So technically CyberStorm is an Earthseige game, and Mechwarrior is a Battletech game.
But to your point, there is a turn based Earthsiege game. I assume that is what he was referencing; the universe as a whole.
