I got this bug too.
I solved it by verifying game cache
The solution is to validate all files and not put back any modded files.
Save game files thats been edited by a user could also been broken in the patch.
This is why the patch works for some players and others gets the time stop bug.
Really? People edited game files and thought that wouldn't cause any issues while patching?
Big smile, BIG smile....biiiiig smile!

Not sure if its this patch or it was already waiting to happen.
FYI I'm a 54 year old "teenager" who does know what he's doing. Altzheimers hasn't reared it's ugly head yet.... or has it... I can't remember.
Guys which are using mods have to repair their game to orignal files. If you have modded save games, you have to restart or if you are lucky load older saves which are not modified.
I dont use mods in my current campaign.
And this after I managed to grind out 4 Atlas and 2 King Crab. :(
I did have an earlier issue where a story mission duplicated itself so I could do one campaign mission twice (the one with the ammo crates). So there may have been something corrupted in my save for a while.
They are plain text files designed to be edited by the average user.
They can't "support" mods for various reasons (possibly some legal due to HG) but they went out of their way to make it as easy as possible for people to mod/be mod friendly.
