!!!NEW PATCH BREAKS GAME!!!
Game stops working at a certain point. Time progresses but Financial Reports won't process, they simply say 'done'. Progress on mech repairs/upgrades stops. Onset for this is random, I got it at 180 days, others are reporting different times. Once it hits your game is dead.

I got this bug too.

I solved it by verifying game cache

I been playing wth the update for 6 hours and no problems.

It seams users who edited certain files to change something, got an error with save game files that they also edited.

The solution is to validate all files and not put back any modded files.
Save game files thats been edited by a user could also been broken in the patch.

This is why the patch works for some players and others gets the time stop bug.

Really? People edited game files and thought that wouldn't cause any issues while patching?

I mean, it's even stated on the bottom of the patch notes:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/637090/discussions/0/2828702373012536540/

Additional note for players who mod various game files...Reminder that modding is not officially supported. If you have saved a game with any mod active, that saved game will not work after an update has been applied unless you replace all modded files exactly as they were when the save game file was created. Saved games require the exact same data state in order to function properly.

I dont think its the kids who are complaining. Its the 40 year old "teenagers" ;)

Not to burst anyones "I'm awesome" bubble but i hadn't modified any files when I got exactly this error. 247 hours in. I went back to an earlier save and managed to get past this, not sure how or why it happened the first time, but its not happened again (so far).

Not sure if its this patch or it was already waiting to happen.

FYI I'm a 54 year old "teenager" who does know what he's doing. Altzheimers hasn't reared it's ugly head yet.... or has it... I can't remember.

Yep the Developers say it and marked it big, that Moded files won´t work with the Patches. Only base game files will work. Modding ins´t supported for Battletech yet and used Mods are at own risk from the player.

Guys which are using mods have to repair their game to orignal files. If you have modded save games, you have to restart or if you are lucky load older saves which are not modified.

Didnt break the game for me so far.

I dont use mods in my current campaign.
infermofperpus May 16, 2018 @ 3:33am
Same here. I did not mod in anyway. My saves are borked. Can't open mech bay or launch contracts as there are no mechs. I also have the no progress bug too.

And this after I managed to grind out 4 Atlas and 2 King Crab. :(

I did have an earlier issue where a story mission duplicated itself so I could do one campaign mission twice (the one with the ammo crates). So there may have been something corrupted in my save for a while.

They are plain text files designed to be edited by the average user.

They can't "support" mods for various reasons (possibly some legal due to HG) but they went out of their way to make it as easy as possible for people to mod/be mod friendly.

If you haven´t moded, then let the run the repair programm to repair the damaged files. Then the game runs again. If not delete the broken saves and replay it with the good saves. If that dosen´t work anyway you have to restart.
