Waitaminute............. Can I LRM headshot now? Is this a thing? Can I just get like a stream of 40 LRM to fly into their face?
Actually if you indirect fire the enemy mech the missiles will arc up and land on the enemy mech's head. I don't know if that actually effects the chance to hit the head numbers-wise, but visually it looks like it would.
I have a Catapult with twin lrm 15's, a large lazer, and flamer with jump jets...
What I am trying to say is - That I can mount a better weapon configuration on the catapult then the Archer - Archer does have a little bit more armor going for it though.
Archer is not supposed to mount jets, it does not need them. If you are mounting jets on it you are gimping it. If you have piloting 7 it can run fast enough on its own. Its a missile boat so it isn't hard to position it. I seriously don't get players that just NEED to have jets on every single mech.
I honestly just upgraded all its guns to quality versions, and left its stock config plus some gyro and cockpit mod. It really does not need to be modified much its original concept is sound.
I also found that to be the case. It doesn't have the tonnage to mount enough lrms as I'd like, but the extra bonus from the mech's special effect might offset that. I haven't done the math to figure that out, since math is evil. I mean that. Supervillains coldly calculate master plans that take years to bear fruit. I've never seen Superman do a math problem.
Superman is a gary stu. He does not need to do the math. He can just OP powerlevel all his foes or worst case scenario reverse time in the most absurd way possible.
Scout mech with narc++ (even more accuracy and damage), archer with +2 damage dual lrm20s.... gives bad rain a whole new meaning
Every time I shoot LRM at vehicles from the front the missiles scatter all over the front, both sides, and the turret. Damn things turn red on all sides before they decide to actually die. No, if its LRM on vehicles it has to be a flanking shot to do it efficiently. Sure you could rely on luck but then the thing might survive another turn and get a shot off. But all this changes with the archer.
