I was just reading China Miéville's The City and the City before playing this game. I guess one could say it's high in shivers, esprit de corps and conceptualization, but really low on inland empire and empathy. Meaning it's a really cool concept, city mystique, world building and some nice cop-to-cop friendship, but you never get to know much about the main character's (or anyone else's) inner world even though it's written in first person. The storyline itself isn't that remarkable either.

This might be one of my favourite posts on Steam ever. First of there are many of my favourites among these that I often felt reminded of while playing Disco Elysium, and there are even more entries I've never read or have even heard of before. I just finished the game and its really impressive. And Im very happy to see that Kandinsky is one of your inspirations. I'm currently finishing my Masters Degree and my project is a card game for teaching Abstract Art using only Kandinsky works and studies.
