There will be no continuation?
I'm not sure I understand what happened to the studio, but judging by the news, there's no point in waiting for the second part now? =(

Apparently ZA/UM are working on another project, ex devs have announced some other games their working on. I think Robert Kurvitz the writer and designer of DE is working on another game with another company Red Info.

Probably wont be any continuation, I don't see why not though the world building is already there and this game is far from the masterpiece people make it out to be. I found some of the characters to be so badly written, bloated with too much dialogue and are like caricatures of a political ideology rather than being well written and realistic, not all of them are like that but far too many in my opinion.
Well there is a sequel book, A Sacred and Terrible Air, but yeah, don't expect an actual sequel game for a long time.
There isn't. All the people who made Disco Elysium what it is are gone from the studio.
I suggest you check out this site https://summereternal.com/#manifesto
ZA/UM had split into three parts due to employee exodus, AFAIR. Does anyone know which of the remainig shards has Robert Kurvitz on it's crew list?

Robert Kurvitz and Alexander Rostov registered a company called Red Info. We don't know much more than that yet.

it's not a sequel book, it's a prequel to a series of novels, which is currently on hold, because Ilmar Kompus & Tõnis Haavel hold the IP rights to the Elysium franchise.
