Can The Fairweather T-500 Cuirass Protect me from Titus when I attempt to Arrest him?

I’ll have to wait for 3 in-game days to chat to Gary. (edit: ill have ti give this game a 9 out of 10 because i spend 3 in-games days waiting to chat to an NPC named Gary who's has something that I need to confirm my suspicions and i have concluded that the Cuirass dose not protect you from Titus's shotgun.

The cuirass doesn't actually protect you from anything, iirc. It's referenced in dialogue occasionally if you're wearing it, but it doesn't give any special benefits outside of its stat bonuses.

pretty sure when i faced the mercenaries, i failed the first dodge check and the cuirass deflected it. the second one, the one to the head, is fatal.
