Screen goes black when morale is low

This game is very fun but I've lost major progress twice now because every time my morale gets low the screen starts going black. I can still check my inventory and talk to NPC's but I can never get past their first dialogue box if I do decide to initiate conversation, leaving me stuck. How can I fix this.

i have same bug.
It's not a character's death, cause i still have 1 point of health and moral, but screen going black.

I figured that that's what's supposed to happen. But the character never dies we're just stuck in some void, still being able to interact with NPC's and move around.

Also, it has to be a bug because the morale bar gets stuck, never reaching 0 before the screen fades to black.

Same I just started today, black screen and can't select anything but my character rotates around

same. I've seen the death scenes before, this is glitched.

Same thing happens to me, for both health and morale. The blackness fades in from the edges, then the character remains visible but in a black void.

Same thing here, tried changing graphics settings, windowed mode, verifying integrity of game files and nothing helped

Yep just happened on my second playthrough when I had just fluked that jump for the police overall first time! and it had not saved ... not going to happen again ... !"£$%^&*():@!!!!

Same here, everytime when moral is dropping - black screen and nothing you can do. Literally cant play.

I am waiting for a fix, if the devs going to release one. Still playable though just don't die I guess. :D

TLDR It's a Bug

Same issue here. I've also tested it reliably after watching "disco elysium fastest death" on Youtube. A video shows Death in Newspaper following trying to reach for tie, I follow this via New Game, my screen slowly turns black, then can't progress, no Newpaper. I can still walk around in the dark, interact with things, at which point there's dialogue, then no further option to progress or close the dialogue.

Got this issue too, very annoying. Is it a bug for sure? I don't die or get any end screen, I can still run around and see the city/background move under the overlay HUD but when I talk to Kim all I get is 'yes' and can't do anything or continue.

Hope they fix this because currently the game is unplayable. I've never gotten past the first part as this happens every time I walk into the area where the body is hanging. For no reason.
