Political compass.
So... I'm more of a centrist person. And yet I feel awful playing this game lol. I wanted to ask those who finished it, is that the purpose? Should you just pick one side and be done with it, or be at fence and suffer wrath of both? lol.

I've got the achievment of most laughable centrists, and I question my life choices lol.

I felt like the neutral options were sometimes obviously condescending towards the player, and definitely pushing you towards a certain choice.

I'm usually a "both sides wrong actually, but for different reasons" person.

The game is made by communists, and is pretty heavily anti-centrist. The most influential powers-that-be in DE are centrist ("moralist", in-game) organisations, and the hatred that the game has for them (& their ideology) is very obvious. You can still play it, obviously, but it won't give you much sympathy, even if you fully make the detective a centrist.

You don't have to stick with one, the main character has a lot of different thoughts on politics. Go with what you want. Kim also abstains from political discussion as well, being more focused on his job from what i've observed so far. The game will jab at you no matter what political path you go down, even communism which the devs are

Centrism is derided in this game as being an ideology based on absolutely nothing and letting everything fall apart around them helplessly

Gonna be fun when i get to play this game since politically i'm at the opposite end of the developers.
Yeah, they seem to nudge you to some dialogue option you don't particularly want to choose.

Political compass.
huh. "political compass". don't know what that is. generally people follow their 'moral compass' to figure out where they closest align politically.

shame really shouldn't be the driving factor. especially over a joke achievement.
i mean, even "centrist" is a joke. rarely used in the 80s, only took off once it became the "woke" of the 90s, to describe supporters of clinton.
yeah, i'm not that old, but the internet is, and i can count how many times it was used in the 80s on one hand.

I'm a centrist too and got the most laughable centrists in my first playthrough. Being a centrist is picking a side (unless you chose not to comment) and the game does take count of that and I'm very happy with the way it deals with it.
