You're not some centrist, your rhetoric suggests otherwise. The talking points you parrot about "wokeness" and "triggering" people are those of a reactionary, embodying the enlightened centrist stereotype.

Centrists (which primarily consist of liberals) are more balanced with their views and oppose actual extremes (such as tankies and fascists). You haven't shown to give the left any charity to their positions, while confidently asserting being on some intellectual high ground. You say "people on both ends of the spectrum are the biggest morons and delusionals you can find" as a (very common) defense mechanism of appearing balanced, yet you've used this thread to exclusively attack the left.

You're doubling down and not taking this as a lesson to have some amount of introspection to question why it is you care so much about "wokeness." So I'll say it again: You wouldn't be complaining about "wokeness" if you were fine with games including social or economic content that goes against what you view as the default for society. On some level, progressive politics in games is upsetting to you, you wouldn't have cared at all to start this discussion if it was the contrary.

Haha this is rich considering Kai's favorite game is Deus Ex a very political and left leaning game.

People who complain about "wokeness" can, in most cases, be translated to "I don't like black/lgbtq people in my vidya/movie/show" and Kai is pretty much proving this.

These are the same dopes who played games like Fallout and Baldur's Gate, or Deus Ex, but were too smoothbrained as children to understand it's all political.

There's a difference between a game that is religious as in "This game touches on religious themes" and playing a freaking bible adventure game written by evangelical bible thumpers from 1995.

The games you mentioned have political themes. They're NOT trying to browbeat and brainwash you into completely agreeing with the author's political views, and in fact you'd be relatively hard pressed to guess what the writer's real world politics are from playing those games.

Your post reads like you're playing boggle with Reddit buzzphrases.

The reason why people are "exclusively attacking the left" is because the left has almost exclusive control over the industry. You had similar backlash against other people who try to turn the medium into a political weapon in previous eras, and back in the 90's and early 2000's the biggest butts of criticism were bible thumpers. The left is aggressively intolerant, gatekeeps to an extreme degree with a high level of organization, and has corporate backing which means they more or less control the industry.

Name me ONE major game studio that will ban fans and creators for being left wing. Name one. Because I can name...literally ever major game studio that will do the opposite.
