Communism?
Is the highest rated game on metacritic just a piece of communist propaganda? I've never seen so much communism in any other game.

There is quite a bit of communism. Calling it "communist propaganda" is a bit ridiculous, the most communist characters in the game are the sleazy union boss, the dementia-ridden veteran, and a couple college students. If you're incapable of hearing those characters talk without going into a red panic, then this game isn't for you and I suggest you get thicker skin.

You want to talk about propaganda, some of the classic CoD games minimise American war crimes because the US military plays a huge role in the development of those games. Would you rather they win the awards instead?

I expected more fiction than politics and philosophy from this game. In the beginning of the plot I thought the protagonist uses drugs to put himself into a universe allegorically resembling the crime scene. He would solve the case and move on to another universe.

The game makes a point that no matter what ideology the various characters take on they are at least somewhat hypocritical. Their belief is more for a sense of comfort in this harsh world, making up for some personal weakness, or a justification for doing some immoral action. Harry though the political vision quests turns all these up to 11.

Of course there's a lot of communism. A major theme of the game is how communism became The God That Failed.

#1. Disco Elysium. Metascore: 97.

That was the sole reason I installed it.
