Inventory items safe to sell?
What items are safe to sell? Do I need to keep post cards or antique guns? There is an early NPC where the antique gun in my inventory came up in conversation. Are there important quest related items that I might accidentally sell? Also, how often can I drink alcohol? I've used it once and I have three more uses but I can't drink anymore from it.

Without spoilers, the more expensive it is, the more likely it is to come up again. Also don't sell your pen. But you can sell postcards, and most of the items eventually stop being useful. Basically when in doubt, hold onto it until you're finished most of your quest log and are ready for the endgame, and even then you can make a hard save to come back to if you're worried.

Spoilers, off the top of my head: Don't sell the gun, the tapes, the photos, the handkerchief, or in general anything that counts as evidence, a gift from Kim, or something from your own past. You can sell the shotput ball if you didn't throw the petanque players' boule in the ocean, and you can give the taxidermy bird to Garte if you're trying to make amends with him. The cubes/computer disks are part of the church quest.

That being said, if you *need* the money, don't worry about playing a perfect game on your first run. If you miss some things, you'll get to see other things. It's fine. But at least grab the bag down by the water and turn in all the tare you can, investigate all the containers you can, and make it to Day 3 so you can explore the coast if you can. Money's not as tight after the first two days. Art Cop and Conceptualization will actually pay off as well -- probably some kind of meta-joke the devs are making there.
